McGregors Cottage sits in a desirable position in the gorgeous little fishing village of Sandsend. Located just 2.5 miles up the coastline from the historical town of Whitby. With stunning sea views from the cottage, a short 2 minute walk to the sandy beach and a popular local pub serving quality food & drink all day. This hidden gem brings you every little bit of paradise and is the perfect place to create happy memories with family and friends.

The space
Sailing up from the picturesque sea and soothing sea air, you take your first step through the front door to this charming cottage and find that the idyllic sea theme continues. McGregors has been furnished with both comfort and relaxation in mind. Escape and chill out in this warm and inviting cottage.

Inside the well-equipped cottage you will find a cosy lounge followed by a family style kitchen-diner with French doors that lead you out onto the decking and a pretty garden with outdoor seating and stunning sea views.

Later on in the day you can take the staircase to find two comfortable bedrooms sleeping up to 5 people and a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.

There’s a parking space available for one car and free street parking for any additional vehicles.

Sandsend is a picturesque fishing village with a stunning beach stretching along to the the historical town of Whitby (approximately 2.5 miles). The cottage is only a 2 minute walk from the flat, sandy beach which is ideal for a family, dog walk. Also famous for its rock pooling and fossil hunting. It's a brilliant way to soak in the coastline.

The Hart Inn is a friendly, welcoming pub only a few minutes walk away, serving food all day and is very popular all year round. Sandside Cafe is just at the bottom of the street, this is a lovely place to stop and grab a drink or a bite to eat whilst taking in the views.

Just along the beach is Whitby, it’s so close in fact that from the beach you will be able to see Whitby Pier and Whitby Abbey. Sandsend offers that tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A great place for those looking for calm and relaxation.

Alternative to the beach, you can take a walk through the Mulgrave Woods. Here there are miles of pretty woodland trails to explore that take you to waterfalls and the fascinating ruins of Mulgrave Castle.

Whitby Golf Club is only 1 mile away, with its stunning clifftop location offering wonderful views of the sea.
