I like to personally welcome my guests, show the flat and explain everything is available to them. I am very happy to give suggestions on local restaurants, bars, clubs, which I like to go myself. Alessandra's apartment is in an amazing location - very close to trendy restaurants & bars in Ostiense - and very safe. It's a short (15 minutes) walk to Testaccio & another 15 minutes to Trastevere. We walked to the Vatican one day from her apartment and it took about an hour. The weather in Rome is amazing (compared to the UK) so we didn't mind the long walk. The apartment itself is very clean. The pictures aren't 100% accurate. The lounge is smaller than shown with no couch. It had another bed in it at the time. Also the bed in the bedroom is smaller than the picture indicates. It was a double and also a bit uncomfortable (too hard). Overall, Alessandra communicated very well before and during our stay and her flat was fine for our long weekend in Rome - with just a few things that didn't meet expectations.

Response from Alessandra:
Suzanne, thank you very much for your feedback. It is the first time that guests find the bed uncomfortable. I guess this depends on personal tastes and habits. As for the size of it, what you told me is very useful and I will make sure next time I have 2 guests they are aware it is a double, French size. As for the couch in the living, to me pictures show very clearly it is a sofa-bed. But again, I will point that out from now on. My very best wishes and thanks again for staying at my flat. We spent two nights at Alessandra's flat in Gasometro, the place is exactly as the description and kitchen comes with everything needed for a short stay. The place is clean, spacious and new, and with the recently added lift in the building, makes it very accessible to reach the top floor and all the luggage you might bring with you. Alessandra always replied to our messages on time, and communication was easy. She was very welcoming when we arrived and gave us a quick tour of the flat and important info regarding the apartment (keys, lift, where to find things, etc) She provided all amenities like a 5 tars hotel, from towels to soap, cloth-hangers, to iron board and iron, and washing machine. We totally recommend staying at her flat, a true gem in the new trendy area of Rome.

Our stay in Alessandras flat was great. She was a great host and and helped us with any queries we had. The flat was fairly close to the subway and it was possible to walk into central. The flat was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay.

I'm 41. Italian. I moved to Rome from northern Italy in 2012 and fell in love with this amazing city, so much so that after a couple of years I bought this flat, which I am really proud of. I also lived in London, for 5 years and I travelled quite a lot. When travelling I like to give myself a few treats, especially when it comes down to accomodations. Here, as a host, I do my best to offer what I, as a guest, look for.
