This is a fantastic place to stay while in the lake region. Its just the right amount of secluded with access to lots of different hiking trails and lake towns. We were up for a wedding in Glen Arbor and surrounding the event, we took advantage of sleeping in nature with pleasant nighttime sounds and brisk country air. The rustic modern home was eclectic, comfy, and private with wifi access and great coffee table books! Sally and her family were super helpful with great local recommendations and we loved saying hi to their doggies in the morning. Would def return and highly recommend instead of a hotel anyday!

We decided to stay here during our first visit to MI. Could not be happier with the choice. The location allowed us to visit several different town and trails without being far from a the AirBnb. Out room was quiet and comfortable with tasteful unique decor. The common area was amazing and they provided us coffee and a fridge to store food. I took advantage of the outdoor and indoor shower, both of which were great. Our biggest mistake was not staying one more night.

Every aspect of this secluded hideaway has been looked after with great care and detail, and that outdoor shower was seriously a game changer. Sally and Dennis were wonderful hosts, and the location is perfect for getting around the peninsula. 5 out of 5 stars, would disappear here again.

Sally's property is simply inspiring. Everything about it was wonderful. Especially her! I would've liked to have stayed for much, much longer. It's a perfect little hideaway in the midst of all the Leelanau activities you want to enjoy. Sally, Dennis and their two dogs very were welcoming and then simply let you be. The artwork, the books, the barns, the trails, the windmill, the VIEWS...all of it wonderfully and passionately done. If you need an escape from the grind, and are looking for a little inspiration, do not miss this place!

Sally's place is honestly perfect in every way! The location is close to several wineries and a cute breakfast place. The Rustic Modern Studio is charming! The bath house with an indoor and outdoor shower is exquisite. Sally thinks of everything a guest could need. We had a great time cooking popcorn over the campfire and drinking coffee from a French press in the morning. There is a plethora of books to read and board games/cards to play. Our stay was perfect and Sally is truly an incredible host! I loved every moment of our stay!

Neena and I stayed in Sally's BEAUTIFUL wine country retreat cottage. It was the perfect getaway for the both us. This was our second time staying on Sallys property, but this stay was very special. I proposed to my girlfriend at the airbnb. My girlfriend and I stayed here last year around the same time and we had the best time ever!! We were disconnected from work, electronics and really appreciated each others company and the outdoors. Since we both really enjoyed the time we had at Sallys, I thought it was the best place to propose. I messaged Sally about my idea and she was thrilled and happy to help in any way possible. She was very accommodating every step of the way! Her place is spectacular. There is something about her place that makes you disconnect and appreciate what really matters. Sally was great and I am very thankful :)

Sally and Dennis' place is just incredible. The charm of lovingly restored farm outbuildings, with beautiful, artistic decor and modern updates. Although there isn't a bathroom or running water in the rustic cottage where we stayed, it's a very short walk to the beautiful shared bath house, with an indoor/outdoor shower. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility, the fields of wildflowers, watching the birds and viewing the sky full of stars unspoiled by city lights. Also, centrally located in the Leelanau Peninsula, so a great jumping off spot for all it has to offer. If you want to 'unplug', this is a great place to do it!
