This large century home is located just a 10-15 minute drive from Yarmouth which is a nice coastal town to walk around with little shops and plenty of restaurants. We went to Rudder's & really enjoyed that. The bedroom we stayed at upstairs at Kerry's was a very large room with a desk & a chair & very comfortable bed with nice clean sheets & duvet. Just outside the bedroom was an open area with a window and a reclining chair & a large desk area that Kerry said we were welcome to use. The house was clean, comfortable & quiet. There was freshly ground coffee & a selection of cereal, bread & fruit provided for breakfast. The bathroom was also large & clean, with a spot to leave our toiletries during our 2 night stay. Maybe I had set my expectations too high - I had mentioned to Kerry beforehand that I practice yoga & I even tried to start up a conversation with her about yoga, but I was feeling some strange vibes & it seemed she didn't want to talk about that with me. I sensed she was busy & had other stuff on her mind. I had pictured myself doing a little yoga & maybe some meditation while I was there, but I didn't even get to see the yoga studio in the barn, which was disappointing. Maybe I just expect to make friends with everyone I meet! Anyway, lack of yoga & strange vibes aside, this is a nice, comfortable, conveniently located place to stay - good value for your money.

Kerry's a warm and genuine person. I am sorry I hadn't timed out our stay to attend a yoga class. I'm sure I would have really enjoyed her aura in this setting. Room was very spacious and comfortable.

Kerry is what I would expect a good host to be - outgoing, friendly and interested in her guests' opinions. I highly recommend her place!

Kerry User ProfileKerry is a superhost.

I love connecting with others, meeting new people, traveling, and adventure. When I'm at my home in Tusket, Nova Scotia, I take great joy in teaching yoga, heading to the local farmer's market and partaking in the friendliness that is found in this beautiful part of the world.
I guide groups of yogis to India each year; the winter of 2016 was my 12th trip to that amazing country.
I would love to host you at my home in Tusket. My partner, Kabir and I look forward to welcoming you with masala chai, spacious rooms and open hearts. Perhaps there will be room in one of the 3 public yoga classes for you to join in; perhaps you'd like a private yoga consultation.
You'll love staying with us if you crave peace and simplicity while visiting southwest Nova Scotia. We are both very much "on the go" so if you like independence (fixing your own tea / coffee breakfast), we look forward to sharing our space with you!
