Description

The space

With more than 50 guests over the past 2 years, I am proud to welcome you to my apartment:

A one bedroom (+ a separate living room) apartment in Central London (Zone 1) which has everything you could ever wish for during your stay.

You will enjoy the whole apartment (not shared), which features a specious living room, a double bedroom with king size bed and wardrobe space, a kitchen and a separate bathroom/toilet.

The apartment is ideal for 1 to 3 person, although I have already had 4 guests staying over as well. Kids are welcome.

Guest access

The flat is all yours and has all amenities you might expect and need:

- Central heating (for those chilly days)
- Double glazing windows
- Washing Machine
- 42" TV
- DVD
- More than 60 freeview TV channels
- Oven
- Fridge-Freezer
- Modern shower (30cm rain shower head!)
- Clean towels
- Cutlery, plates, glasses/mugs
- Bed linen

Interaction with guests

I prefer to provide my guests with full privacy and do not disturb their stay. However, I am always a 20mins away if needed and will do my best to respond to any query either by phone, mail or text message.

More than happy to help with your holiday planning - from restaurant and theatre bookings, airport transportation and more!

The neighbourhood

Vauxhall is a very convenient and central base for visiting London. It is 25 minutes walk to the Big Ben, London Eye and Tate Modern. Don't forget to check my guidebook for recommendations!

There are few supermarkets (Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose) by Vauxhall station, and several local restaurants and pubs (see guidebook).

Very convenient public transport to all areas, including Camden Market (30mins), Brixton Village (10mins), Westminster and Soho (20mins), Wimbledon and Richmond (20mins), and great gateway to the West (Windsor, Cotswolds, Stonehenge, Oxford).

*Update June 2016: At the moment there is a construction site operating next door from 8am to 6:30pm during the summer period. As you can see from past reviews, it is almost not mentioned and should not be a problem, unless you are planning to sit indoors all day long.

Getting around

The flat is located 5 minutes walk from Vauxhall Station (Zone 1) - one of London's best transport hubs, including trains, ferries, London Underground and many bus routes!

Vauxhall Station is on the Victoria Tube line, and only 2 stations to Victoria or 4 stations (7 minutes!) to Oxford Circus for Soho, Bond Street, Mayfair and Oxford/Regent Streets.

You can take a ferry from St George Wharf (6 minutes walk from the flat) to Embankment (for Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and The Strand) - all in under 10 minutes.

I have started hosting on Airbnb in 2012, as I bought my first apartment. For me, I thought, this could be a great opportunity to generate some additional income, and make my guests at home, away from home.
London is a great city - it has everything, for anyone. But it doesn't always come cheap, and paying for accommodation can be costly. More than that, many hotel rooms are very small, providing basic hospitality for high fee.

The more guests I've had, it became more enjoyable. It is just great to give someone a better experience, help, provide tips and local info. And, I am enjoying it when I travel, as I cannot remember the last time I booked an hotel room.

My flat, I hope, feels cosy and homey. It is not big, but enough for the two or three of you to enjoy it. Let me know why you are coming to London. Let me know what excites you and where your passions are. I will do my best to help and provide you with tips.

I am a laid back host from London, working in the digital industry - phone apps and websites. Into sports, football, music, documentaries and burning man...

Come enjoy London. Come, and feel home.
