Neat spot, the tree top suite bathroom was incredibly small and claustrophobia inducing

Great but expensive breakfast. Treetop room has a tiny bathroom. Choose another room.

Response from Paradox:
When we renovated the house we were faced with the challenge of creating a private bathroom for each room (as opposed to sharing a bath down the hall.) We eliminated the closets in order to have the private bathrooms. There are four photos of the Tree Top bathroom in the listing that are accurate. If a large bathroom is important to a potential guest then we recommend reserving a room in our Cedar Lodge. Also, we communicated about the breakfast prior to their arrival including the price - so the cost for a full cooked to order meal should not have been a surprise.

Perfect location to the lake and downtown area. Delicious breakfast and unique decorations made for a wonderful, memorable stay. We enjoyed the recommendations from our hosts and the conversation they offered, and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place in LP!!

We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. I loved the vibe of the place; amazing decor and it seemed like every item on the walls had a story. Nan was a lovely host.

Thank you for your hospitality. Every moment Nan was available and helpful for the stay and questions about the whole property rentals. We missed out on using the kayaks with early morning rain! Next time :)

This BnB is in an ideal location that is a two minute drive to the main street in Lake Placid, meaning you don't have to drive very far at all to get to the restaurants, bars, etc. The host was very accommodating with our check in time, as it was a few hours past written check-in time. The room was immaculate and has a neat old style claw foot tub with a very Adirondack-style vibe. If you want a truly authentic Adirondack experience, look no further than this bed and breakfast!

Paradox User Profile

Paradox Lodge was built in 1890 on Paradox Bay in Lake Placid New York. Paradox Lodge provides a quiet and comfortable atmosphere for guests. Once used as a lodge in the early 50’s for summer guests, the building was later abandoned and left vacant for 30 years until the current owners/innkeepers purchased it in April 1998 and began the long and laborious task of renovation. Today, eight rooms are available on a year round basis, each decorated in its own unique style featuring handmade Adirondack furniture, antiques, ceiling fans, beautiful quilts, down comforters, and lots of pillows. The four rooms in the Cedar Lodge have added amenities.
