Tommy's cabin in Townsend was a restful and great place to stay! Cade's Cove was amazing (we saw deer, turkeys, a coyote, and a Mama bear with her 3 cubs!), Trailhead Steak & Trout had delicious food and big portions, and staying in Townsend is a pleasure compared to the crowds and traffic in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cabin sits on the Little River and it was quiet and peaceful there!

The perfect setting to create some great memories! The constant sound of the river, billions of stars overhead, family gathered around a roaring fire in the pit....doesn't get any better!

Sorry about your cell service, Townsend has started to get a little better for service over the last few years, maybe yours will work the next time.

We celebrated the New Year holiday at Tommy's Riverfront Log Cabin and it was exactly as described with an ample kitchen for preparing meals. Plenty of swings on front and rear porches were very nice and relaxing. Riverview was excellent. Area restaurants, grocery store and laundrymat were close by. Fire pit next to the river was much enjoyed but you'll need to bring your own chairs and purchase firewood. National Park entrance less than 2 miles away. Short drives to Wears Valley (15 minutes), Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg (35-45 minutes) and Foothills Parkway (20 minutes). If you prefer a more laid-back, quieter setting, I highly recommend staying here.

Communication with Tommy was excellent! Description of unit was exactly as described. The cabin is small with a great view of the river. The porch swings are relaxing and the furniture comfortable. Cel service is good since wifi is not provided. It is a relaxing and quiet area, convenient to all Townsend and the area has to offer.

We had a great time at the riverfront cabin. It was conveniently close to the entrance to Smoky Mountains. However, we had a hard time finding the cabin, since we arrived late into the night and had to check several cabins before we found the right one. But the cabin was very comfortable and we enjoyed the river very much. The bedrooms and bathroom were clean and the kitchen was convenient. We hope to stay again next time we visit the Smokies.

We had a great time staying in this cabin. Fully furnished, pictures were accurate. The river in the back was perfect, I recommend bringing a fishing rod. Easy access to GSMNP, Pigeon Forge, Knoxville. Nice quiet little town, too. Thanks for the great rental!

Enjoyed our stay. It was nice to come back to the cabin after a long day hiking and be able to relax on the back porch. So, so close to the entrance of the park. Would recommend this cabin.

Semi-retired auto dealer. We have owned this cabin for 13 years and have been coming to this area for over 50 years. Townsend, Tennessee is the last un-spoiled gateway to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Townsend area is still an uncrowded, quiet small town with great people and mom & pop eateries and businesses.
