Interaction with guests
Our housekeeper, Rehema, or myself will be in residence during your stay and can help with reservations, transport issues or anything else that pops up.
The Beach House is one of very few buildings on Mayungu Beach. The local village is some 1.5 kilometres away, and Malindi some 19 kms away.
There are no public transport links in the area. Guests should arrange a car or make arrangements to use our house car and driver. Motorbikes are available from the local village.
I spend most of my time in Kenya based at The Beach House. I am English, though will soon be Irish thanks to Brexit. I hardly ever go back, instead I spend the balance of my year in Italy where we have another family house the Villa Oriel.
I spent many years owning and operating nightclubs and restaurants in the UK and Europe, but now prefer a quieter time.
Life at The Beach House is very laid back, we like to think of it as 5 star beachcomber though within easy striking distance of downtown Malinda. Life on Mayungu Beach is years behind the time it's the last unspoilt beach between Malinda and Watamu and is utterly serene. A great place to write your novel.
Our other property is the Villa Oriel on the Island of Elba in the Tuscan archipelago. This is our family home stuffed with family treasures.
I hope you like them.
