This beautiful and bright, 1200 sq ft condo with designer furniture and utilities can be your home away from home. The 800 sq ft rooftop attached to the condo is the perfect place to relax after a long day of New York adventures with amazing views of the Brooklyn/Manhattan Skyline and East River. The layout is practical with the living room/kitchen area as the center, and the 2 bedrooms/2 baths surrounding for extra privacy.
The condo is situated in a small boutique building, with friendly doormen, reception area, Fresh Direct option, and elevators. It is right across from the East River State Park, which overlooks the Manhattan Skyline, including the Empire State, Chrysler and UN Buildings.
The apartment has a large screen with Apple TV (no cable) with the opportunity for renters to access their iTunes and Netflix accounts, as well as a SONOS Hifi system. There is free WiFi, filtered/alkanized water in faucets and showers, well-stocked chef's kitchen with new appliances for cooking, huge barbecue grill on the rooftop, and ample closet space in the rooms.
The master bedroom is equipped with a custom made king-sized Auping bed and the guest/kid bedroom has a large bunkbed (fit for adults) with organic mattresses. There is an extra daybed, which can be set-up in the living room if in need of more sleeping space (for either two single beds or one double).
Parking is free on the sidewalk and fairly easy to obtain in front of the building. Bike rentals are across the street and one block down. Everything you need (supermarkets, pharmacies, stores, bars, restaurants, bakeries, playgrounds, parks, entertainment) is really within walking distance!
(North) Williamsburg has quickly turned into the most desirable area in Brooklyn, with endless possibilities for eating, drinking, shopping, partying, and people watching. It is especially famous for its large number of music venues, galleries, and hipster events. You are right across from the famous Smorgasburg and Brooklyn Flea Markets during the Spring-Fall period, and the new Wythe Ave hotel/entertainment development with Brooklyn Bowl and Brooklyn Breweries. However, it is still quiet right on our street so you will sleep well!
There's never a dull moment here, and yet it is much less loud and stressful than Manhattan, with tree-lined streets and small families living amongst old Polish and Hispanic immigrants, hipsters, and artists.
The East River Ferry runs 2 blocks away, and the L train is a four minute walk away, so you'll be in the middle of Manhattan in five minutes.
the L train on the subway is 4 small blocks away, the East River Ferry is 2-3 blocks away, buses are outside the door on and 3 blocks away, and there are plenty of car services. Two Zip-car options are 3 or 5 blocks away, respectively.
After the initial agreement of dates, guests are encouraged to arrange for a ((SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN))/phone meeting with the owner for further introduction and answering of questions, if needed. This apartment can only be rented for at least 4 weeks.
A rental contract and building management application (formal agreement) will be mailed to the tenant for filling-out and signature. Once the signed contract has been received, booking is fully ensured. Please note that this process is non-negotiable and applies to all tenants renting this apartment. It ensures that the rental follows all the legal requirements according to the building's by-laws and New York City law. Simple terms include 1 months full rent paid at the beginning of each month.
Where appropriate, guests are encouraged to check-in during office hours (9am-6pm), while the doormen are available for handing over keys, however this can be arranged otherwise. Before arrival, an A-Z list of necessary info on the apartment will be sent, to help guests find things and get started on using the place to their comfort.
We are a Danish/American family, who moved from Copenhagen, Denmark to Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2008, into a brand new boutique building on the East River bank. We absolutely love the vibrant, always changing Williamsburg area, catered to both young professionals and small families, the mix of city and green, and its location to the water and Manhattan. David is a CEO and advisor for startups and growth businesses, and I run a holistic health and nutrition clinic. We have a wonderful daughter from 2009, and a son from 2013, both born in New York City, and both true New Yorkers in spirit! We are seasoned Airbnb users, always checking other places for our destinations around the world.
