The space

There's so much to see and do in New Orleans! Here, you're a 10 minute Uber to the French Quarter (Bourbon St.) and a bike ride away from the Lake. Enjoy the day on a sail boat ride or sightseeing downtown.
You have private entrance to the house; it is detached from the main house and located at the right of our property. Landscaped with a fantastic garden, lighted path and soft sounds of a water fountain. Oversized front deck where you can sit, enjoy the garden, nice afternoon breeze or make use of the kitchen-aid deck grill.
The guest house is brand new, built with old New Orleans charm. The repurposed solid oak floors came from a 200-year-old house in the French Quarter along with the double drain board, cast iron sink in the kitchen.
To accommodate current technology, we prioritized modern touches like usb chargers on each bed-side, remote control lighting, tri-band wi-fi, a wall-mounted 60" lcd tv, play station & bluray dvd player with a library of movies.
You'll rest comfortably after a full day of sightseeing in the upgraded queen plush murphy bed. A spacious walk-in closet with a wall size mirror for getting dressed up to spend a night out on the town. Kitchen is equipped with a new set of dishes, glasses, wine glasses, mini fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee bar (Keurig).
We live in the main house on the property and always available to provide as much guidance... or as much privacy... as you desire.

You're a 10 minute car ride from the excitement of Bourbon Street but nestled far enough away from the party zone to provide peace and relaxation.
Parking is free and readily available in front of the house on the street. The neighborhood is rated as safest in the city, quiet residential area. Biking to city park or jazz fest is around 3 miles each way.

Guest access

The guest house is unattached, you can come and go as you please with private entrance and free street parking.
Although I prefer to meet and greet guests, it is not always convenient as I work throughout the week and weekend guests' travel plans often change. When you book, please provide me with your arrival details. Check-in instructions will be sent, along with a guest house guide.

Interaction with guests

We're happy to be as interactive as you want to be! I was born and raised in New Orleans, survived Katrina and come from a long heritage of cajun french ancestors. We are quite familiar with the best happy hours and great restaurants in this city! We can also recommend the hidden gems and must-see places to visit on your trip. Alternatively, if you want to do your own thing we totally understand!

Great location on a quiet and safe street. Parking was really easy on the street, and travel into town was straightforward by uber. Apartment was exactly as described, very clean and nicely decorated, and Marissa and Jenn were very friendly and helpful with tourist advice. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This place is really great. The only thing is, if you’re wanting to be close to the French Quarters, it is not a quick drive especially with the current construction going on.

They were very nice and hospitable. The place was very clean and welcoming. Everything was about 15 minutes away and was in a safe neighborhood if that helps your decision.

SUPER cute little place to stay. Not down in the French Quarter, but I needed to be in Lakeview and it was perfect. Very accessible to everything you need - 30" walk in multiple direction to tons of eating options including on the canal. There's a really nice park right across the street with bball court and a couple blocks away is a huge "green space" park with walking trails all the way down to Harrison. If you are looking for a NOLA experience that is outside of the tourist hubub but still a short lyft or uber ride away, this is a super option. Only notation is a couple things about sleeping - the A/C units are not central, so you need to run them individually and they can be quite loud/make strange noises. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. Also, those same units and a few other things give off quite a bit of bright light, so a gain, if you are light sensitive for sleeping, an eye mask would be your friend, but none of these things are insurmountable or a huge deal breaker, just good to know going in so you can be prepared. Enjoyed immensely my stay here - hosts were great and even have bikes to borrow, which was super fantastic for getting out for late evening dinners more quickly than always walking.

Cute little tiny house with a very New Orleans feel! Tucked away In what feels like a private space. Huge TV, very cold room, very clean. Cute backyard and outdoor areas. Hosts mostly let us be but checked in to see if there was anything they could do to improve our experience. Thanks yall!
