Great location

Designer regency sea captain's retreat in the heart of Brighton (on a quiet side street). Direct sea-views from top floors. City shops, the lanes, parking, station, restaurants, clubs, pier & beach-life all secs away. Five bright double bedrooms with zip & ink hotel-style beds & comfy mattresses, 3 bathrooms, Hollywood pamper room, huge kitchen dinner with table seating 16. Smart TV with Netflix & Amazon. Chandeliers, cornicing, exposed brickwork, high ceilings & a stylish roll-top bath.

The space
We want you to feel like you are staying in your own private hotel, with fresh linens, lashings of hot water and an area to chill before hitting the city.

This bright regency townhouse with direct seaviews from the top two floors is on the same road as Brighton's beautiful Dome theatre. You're on a quiet road yet within minutes of buzzy West Street (for clubs), the seafront's nightlife & the shopping nirvana of The Lanes. Pubs and restaurants are all around.

Lovingly restored to it's former Regency glory, you couldn't find a more central location - even Brighton station is five minutes' walk away.

If you're driving, we advise using the 24 hour car parks nearby as you won't need the car on arrival as it’s all walkable.

Having refurbished the whole former sea captain's house we’ve created a large, fantastic social space/kitchen diner with an exposed brick feature wall, a large range cooker, wooden oak floors & a beautiful hand-crafted wooden table to comfortably seat at least 16.

There are 3 bathrooms all with natural slate floors. And all appliances are new including the (we think) groovy bright pink Smeg fridge! There is also an additional lower ground floor toilet.

There is wifi throughout & beautiful plantation shutters. We also love the living room with its twin chandeliers, Farrow & Ball colours & sumptuous regency coving (restored by the same craftsman who worked on the Harry Potter movies).

There is also a flat screen TV - perfect for vegging out the morning after the night before!

We also hope you love our luxurious roll-top bath & the "getting ready" pamper area for those preparing to hit the town with its 3 Hollywood-style illuminated dressing room mirrors & stylish drift wood make-up table.

Please note - We are happy to accommodate respectful hens (but not stags I am afraid). The house is also ideal for family gatherings or for groups of friends.

Because it’s so central to town & close to the Brighton Conference Centre we get a lot of work, corporate & training stays during the week as well.

For regular work placements please ask for rates. We’d be happy to sort something out with your group.

Also, if you have some free time on your hands, then check out my guidebook for recommendations on restaurants, parking, pubs, taxi numbers & other fun & interesting and fun activities in the city & nearby. Many thanks.

Where you’ll be

Brighton, United Kingdom

Brighton is unique. Wear what you like, say what you like - we live and let live here on the south coast and are not surprised by much.

The house itself is in the North Laines, very close to the famous clocktower. You're in the centre of the city yet on a quiet residential street enjoying the best of both worlds.

There are some fantastic restaurants within easy walking distance including The Set on Regency Square and The Gingerman just off Norfolk Square or the Chilli Pickle, which is round the corner.

The new i360 viewing pod is close by and the pier is a 5 minute walk. You are basically in the heart of the city’s
great shopping area too.

Other things: I love cheese, being an airbnb host & beating my children at card games and Boggle.
