Discover life aboard a comfortably equipped sailing yacht. Great for couples on a weekend getaway, and child friendly for families looking to include their little pirates. Hands down this is a wonderful way to visit Historic Annapolis and Naval Academy. We love the opportunity to share our boat, and help create a memorable vacation. Weather permitting, Private Sailing Cruises can be arranged during your stay for an additional charge. Cheers, and I look forward to welcoming you aboard.

The space
Although a sailboat; MY STUDIO is basically a two bedroom studio apartment. She has a nicely equipped galley kitchenette, dinning saloon with couches, small desk, a small bathroom (a large head in yachting terms), and two private cabins with storage cabinets. One cabin essentially has a King Size bed, and the other is perfect for smaller crew members with roughly a Full Size bed. If you have really small crew members, we can provide a folding Bassinet that can be set up in the forward cabin, and we also have a smaller travel Bassinet that could be placed next to you in the aft cabin.

Up on deck there is a cozy cockpit with a Bimini Cover, and small folding table on the instrument binnacle. The lifelines on the front of the boat have safety netting that help secure smaller crew members on board.

Guest access
You will have complete access to the boat while it is safely tied up in the Marina. Just remember, although considered a yacht, MY STUDIO is a boat. If you are not careful on the boat, and especially when getting on or off the boat, you could get wet. You will not be permitted to take the boat out of the slip.

Other things to note
Really Important: The toilet is an electric toilet that more or less finishes processing your biological processes by chopping it up before it goes to a holding tank. SO PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN THE TOILET YOU HAVE NOT CONSUMED (by eating or drinking); or a minimal amount of toilet paper.

Originally from Texas, I am A U.S. Navy Veteran and Alumnus of the U.S. Naval Academy. I served aboard two ships on the east coast, and had the privilege of doing many interesting and exciting things while visiting about 15 different countries during that time. I was stationed here in Annapolis when I got out of the Navy, and having grown to love sailing I decided to stay here: The Sailing Capital of the U.S. Not to mention this is a great little city with a small town charm, and with the benefit of nearby big city amenities and international culture of Washington D.C. and Baltimore, MD. Professionally I now work in the Construction Industry currently reviewing projects for building permits. Previous experience includes Residential and Commercial Project Management, Design, Estimating, and swinging a hammer in the field. My education includes a foundation in Engineering, and several years ago I went back to school in Architecture, Business, and Construction Management. I actually bought this boat to live on back when I first met my wife, and named it MY STUDIO. I lived aboard for two years, before she moved aboard with me. Our son even spent the first two years of his life living aboard. Although not for everyone, many aspects of living aboard a boat are down right wonderful. For instance: waking up and enjoying sunrise with a cup of coffee on a back porch that literally touches the water is something few people experience. Like many of you, we delight in experiences, and traveling is a wonderful way to broaden ones horizons. Now we would like to offer you the chance to discover how unique and wonderful it is to live aboard a nicely equipped sailing yacht. It has all the cozy comforts of home you need, while the location is hard to beat.
