About this listing
The room has a garden view, and includes a very comfortable real wood bed, and a brand new pocket-sprung mattress. Guests often remark at how quiet the room is and how well they sleep.
Just so you know, this is a 2-bedroom apartment and I will be staying in one of the rooms. You can absolutely make yourself at home however, flit in and out, have a chat or say nothing at all, I will not be offended.
Leyton Underground is just a 7-10 minute walk away, with excellent links to London and beyond.
This is a 2 bedroom flat very close to Leyton station. The apartment features an open plan kitchen/living room, bathroom with bathtub and separate shower cubicle, and a south-facing garden that the guest bedroom looks out onto.
Guests can feel free to use their bedroom, the bathroom, kitchen and living room, as well as the garden, which is south-facing but isn't much to look at.
Interaction with guests
I'm happy to help in any way I can vis-a-vis directions, local attractions and places to eat and drink.
Leyton has a number of decent places to eat and drink if one cares to look - excellent tapas and Catalan beers at Cafe Lolita, upscale sharing plates at Marmelo, and a new Scottish cafe, Deeney's, which has recently opened and does a nice line in haggis toasties. For fine wine, cheese and cold meats you could try the recently-opened Yardarm, which is located on the up-and-coming Francis Road. There are also a couple of brilliant pubs that are good for both food and drink - Leyton Technical, which can be found in the grandly impressive Town Hall building, and the Leyton Star, which is the other side of Leyton Station. The latter is home to dirty burger pop-up We Serve Humans.
In addition: Leyton Farmer's market is right on our doorstep, and open every Saturday until 5pm, playing host to live music and a wide range of food and drink options.
The flat is around 7-10 minutes walk from Leyton underground, which is on the Central Line, taking you to Stratford within a couple of minutes, Liverpool St in 10 minutes and Oxford Circus in 20 minutes.
Other things to note
Guests are very welcome to use any of my cooking basics (butter/oil/herbs & spices) as well as helping themselves to tea, coffee and milk. In addition to a microwave, gas hob and oven, there is also a Nutribullet and espresso machine.
They can also use any shampoo, soaps and shower gels they find in the bathroom, as I know how awkward it can be to travel with them.
Guests can feel free to use the washing machine & detergent.
There are also plenty of books and DVDs which guests are more than welcome to use.
Please remember to lock windows and doors when you go out. No pets, and obviously no smoking indoors. It's not the late 90s, guys.
