"Il Vigneto" is a family-run Bed & Breakfast activity, in the middle of the ancient village of Volastra (from the latin Vicus Oleaster, which means the place of olive trees). Volastra is one of the most authentic realities in the heart of the National Park of the Cinque Terre, where terraces built with dry stone walling cleverly made without any cement, give place to the cultivation of vineyards and olive trees.
Volastra besides offering an extraordinary natural landscape with hills sloping down to the sea, is the most important crossway of paths of the Cinque Terre. In fact, from Volastra you may hike many paths with various levels of difficulty surrounded by a spectacular nature. All the paths are duly signed with red and white strips.
In a few minutes from Volastra you may reach Manarola thanks to a good shuttle bus service. The cost of the bus is included in the daily ticket to visit the National Park. Once you are in Manarola you may use trains and boats to visit the other four villages.

Guest access

We dispose of a wide terrace with an amazing sea view open all day for our guests where we serve breakfast in the morning.

Just what I needed ! Away from the busy villages. Easy to reach. Most of the pedestral paths start from Volastra, so the location of that village was just ideal. Small village with 2 restaurants, a small supermarket, a church and houses. Nice, cosy, charming place to be seen! Andrea and his wife were absolutely lovely, very welcoming and really helpful to organise trips around the Cinque Terre. Andrea even organised a wine tasting. I will recommend it eyes closed !

We had a great stay at the apartment just down the street from the B&B. The B&B was booked, but Andrea offered an apartment with kitchen about 30m away for the same price. The apartment was fine, nice view of the valley, comfortable and clean. It had no wifi, but we used the wifi at the B&B and we had access to their terrace with a great view of the sea below, so it was fine as well. Andrea communicated before arrival making sure we had very detailed directions where to unload our car and where to park and where to pick up the key (we arrived late in the evening). We met Andrea the next morning and he gave us tips on traveling among the towns, with information on bus and train etc. Later he brought us to his wine cellar and tasted his very good dry white wine. I highly recommend the apartments and the B&B also looked great. There are merits to staying in one of the actual five towns, but we booked very late and were glad we choose Volastra because we had a car and could park only 100 meters away (and unload much closer). I also highly recommend Andrea as a host.

Our apartment A in Volastra was roomy and cute. There was a fridge, stove, sink, and dining table, as well as a futon and extea single bed. Good for a family or more than 2 people. No wifi at the apartment but you could access it in the street outside the BNB if need s d 24 hours a day. There was also a cute terrace available to sit and wat or drink with an amazing view. Slightly confusing directions to the place but polite and kind office manager.

The place was great, very clean with a fantastic terrace overlooking the surrounding area. Host was great and there was a wine tasting, we ended up getting a bottle, well worth it. Volastra is well situated if you like hiking to the other villages and sites, very peaceful and the fresh air smells great. There's a bus until 8pm from Manarola, after that must hike up so keep that in mind (30-40min), but it's not too bad and path is clearly marked. Overall a great experience.

Andrea & Donatella were wonderful and welcoming hosts! We arrived very late in the evening and couldn't wake up for breakfast at the normal hour. Donatella was incredibly sweet and made us breakfast when we finally awoke (much after the breakfast hours!). They offered lots of helpful advice for touring the area. The location is perfect the walking paths! Manrola is arguably the most beautiful of the 5 lands and you are very close by walk (30 minutes) or there is a shuttle that can get you down there. We couldn't have asked for a better spot! Andrea organized a nice wine tasting of his family's wine, it was great! As for the accommodations, we had a large bed and private bathroom. The terrace is more beautiful than the pictures. Overall, if you're looking for a good launching pad for Cinque Terre, Volastra is it!

Great stay! Andrea was very helpful and accommodated us in one of his rental apartments close to the main house. We had full access to the terrace and could enjoy amazing views over the coastal landscape. The village was well connected with the main tourist spots via a regular shuttle bus service and Andrea recommended some great hikes and places to visit in the area.

Amo la terra dove vivo e per questo sono molto impegnato nella coltivazione dei vigneti e degli ulivi e sopratutto nel rifacimento dei muretti di pietra che sostengono i terrazzamenti agricoli.
