The host was flexible and understanding. The location of the unit is good. However, the sanitary condition of the unit is a bit concerning. When we arrived the first day we were informed that the unit has a clogged drain so we were relocated to the roof top unit for the night with no other options. The place was smaller without a kitchen ( has a hot plate) or laundry as requested. Cleaning was done while we were in the unit by the owner which includes changing the bed sheets and sweeping the floors. Unsure if bathrooms were clean and for sure no vacuuming. The next day we moved back downstairs, the unit looks older and worn out compared to the picture shown and again the unit was dirty. We had to buy our own cleaning supplies to clean the place before we can settle in. One of the air conditioning units was not functioning and there was a rotten smell coming from the sofa in the living room the so we did not sit on it the entire time We did provide our feedback to the owner at the time and only after we left she discovered stinky carpets stuck underneath the sofa which she assumed was left by the last tenant. But it also showed us how minimal cleaning was done in between renters. I am not obsessed with cleaning but since we were travelling with a one year old I have to make sure things are clean enough for her to touch or crawl on the ground, and the unit unfortunately didn't meet our expectation. The unit could sure use an upgrade like a fresh coat of paint and new floors to make it more appealing.

May Leung and hers husband in first impression, they were look like a pleasant couple. And First on site we have no stress to let them know our arrangement. But after a while during their stay. We found out they seems they are just being so hesitate to inform us on any inquiries; which lacks many interaction as a normal guest will do. So I had actively inform them for any support regarding to the issue they stated out (e.g. the door mat with odor). They just getting irresponsible to let us enter the apartment and fixed it, but only making an excuse at last minute that we aren't supporting them. What a tremendous fact they don't trying to how to any members in here. Thus, we are just so disappointed that they were denied our tribute to their housing requirements. 1) They need a baby cot. We just go and buy a brand new one to let them borrow. But they don't even mentioned it and being appreciative to the act. 2) Regarding to the sanitary conditions of the apartment. May seems over-exaggerated what means cleanliness from their standards. Since the floor comes with deep colour timber tiles doesn't mean its not clean. I thought there were totally understand this is a authentic layout for an HK apartment; as they claimed they originated from HK would be expected. We do heavily cleaning jobs before we put them in the apartment. Since the first night there are some plumbering issue. We do another cleaning again before we let them moved in. Air-conditioning problems was a kind of fastidious issue they pointed out. Since its only winter time, we were expecting guest wont be able to use air-con, and we dont know when was the air-con has some damage occurs. Seems May was being so fastidious to us. Nevertheless, they were so thoughtful to advise us to make a full renovation on this apartment. i am appreciated for this unique recommendations. But this review from her is making an over-biased example for letting other guests know our pros and cons.
