This is a wonderful place to stay. Carol is a wonderful host and you are greeted with a very warm welcome and you feel instantly at home. There is everything you need in the beautiful bedroom and Carol leaves fresh milk in the fridge for you for a cuppa or coffee. The house, the rooms and bathroom are spotless, you can order cake, sandwiches a pack lunch or her award winning breakfast! The views are fantastic its easy to find and it is very handy for getting around Weardale but you can can return to the peace and quite at the end of the day. Carol is very knowledgeable and can give you advice of places to visit which is so helpful. You will enjoy your stay here and will definitely want to come back.

My Dad and I stayed here as we cycled from Dover to Sctoland. It's a lovely B&B, the room was very clean and comfortable with fantastic views of the countryside. Carol was an excellent host and made us a lovely breakfast to set us up for the day.

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed with Carol now, but she's always number one on my list of places to stay when my work takes me up into her part of the UK. See my earlier reviews for what a little gem this place is.

Carol once again provided accommodation on my work trip to the north of England. It was excellent as always, and this time came complete with a lovely plate of sandwiches and salad, waiting for me in my room upon arrival. Added to this was the delicious cooked breakfast in the morning, and the packed lunch she made to send me on my way, all of which make staying at Carol's farm feel like staying at my home from home each time my work takes me away from home. In addition to taking excellent care of her guests, Carol is also very active with her charity work, and is a totally inspirational person to meet and know. Carol's house is definitely my number one choice of place to stay in the north of England.

Lovely place to stay. 3 priorities of mine are quietness, cleanliness and not too expensive. Newlands fulfilled all 3, with numerous extras - huge bedroom, beautiful view, fridge in room, etc. Took me a wee while to find the place, because it's in the country, and I didn't have access to internet with me, so couldn't check the location. My fault, ultimately for not checking this out exactly when I made my booking..........

Once again my work takes me to the North Pennines, and once again without hesitation I chose to stay at Carol's Newlands Hall farmhouse. The service (and the breakfast) were excellent as always.
