About this listing

Asheville Green Cottage B&B is a relaxing, quiet space overlooking the Biltmore Estate, in a lovely Historic neighborhood. Your room has a delightful India theme, is bright and cheery and includes a Veggie breakfast. Beautiful, Green, Healthy B&B!

The space

Asheville Green Cottage is a "green" bed and breakfast located in a quiet Historic Asheville neighborhood, overlooking the Biltmore Estate, 1/4 mile from Mission Hospital, and 5 minutes from downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. See our web site for more about our B&B.

The B&B is a 1920's Arts and Crafts granite block home and has a simple sophisticated ambiance with four internationally-themed rooms, each with its own private bathroom. The rooms are beautifully designed and lightly decorated, with views, lots of light, and our very comfortable healthy beds made us up with cotton, bamboo and organic linens.

Our amenities include a green and healthy environment cleaned with the simplest natural products. Please note that we are fragrance, chemical, and smoke free.

For breakfast we serve a vegetarian fare, and, given notice, can cater to almost every dietary request. We offer local and organic food, baked goods, and organic coffee and teas.

The B&B has free wireless, and a large living room with a small desk space and library. The grounds and neighborhood are tree-lined, quiet and walkable to shops and public transportation.

We are very well priced $115-165 per night double occupancy for each of the 4 rooms This includes the wonderful vegetarian breakfast for two. Check our web site for "longer-stay" specials. Thanks. Vicki and Neeraj.

This was my first stop at a bed and breakfast, and I was not disappointed at all! Everything is as advertised. The owners are lovely people. 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a fairly-priced stay near downtown Asheville.

We arrived to find another guest on the porch who told us we were in the right place and there was a note on the door. The key was in the room door. Which was nice but a totally different room than the pics on air bnb. The only face to face interaction with the host was being asked to leash our dog. No hello no welcome no goodbye , no breakfast, actually we felt like we were imposing and not altogether welcome at all. Not sure where our dog was supposed to run a little , or where to put her excrement. We have a great mattress at home so it's hard to compare but it would be difficult to spend another night given we both woke up uncomfortable. Just not sure what the heck is going on with this b&b. The house is nice, quiet, between the conservative and hip part of Asheville. Very clean, the three golden retrievers were adorable and barked a lot and we got to interact with them a little through their gated yard. We're not high maintenance but would have appreciated a hello, brief explanation of house rules, and good bye. We will return to Asheville but reserve a different situation. It might have been an off weekend for our hosts but we hope they treat other guests with a bit more hospitality

Response from Vicki And Neeraj:
Michael. We communicated numerous times via text fir 2 days. Not sure why you did not want to call or text with you questions. There are notes in your room and throughout the B&B answering all your questions - including when breakfast is served - I had it prepared and was waiting for you to come into the dining room - and asking you to contact us with any questions. In all fairness you did see that I was struggling to get the 3 dogs back into the house and therefore was not able to share a relaxed hello. And having your dog running off leash did not help. We had a couple need to stay an additional night and you had an identical quality room with a different theme. I think you just didn't like me asking you to leash your dog. We have a lovely place with many friendly visits. If you had just called or texted me as you had previously done, I would have been 100% available to you.

We loved staying here! The house is quiet and is in an awesome setting, it's great for traveling with a dog! Our golden loved the other goldens who lived here! It's walking distance to Hi-Wire Big Top and close to the Biltmore. Vicki made us eggs for breakfast with fresh avocado that were delicious. The hosts seem to really care about sustainability, hence the name Green Cottage. I'd highly recommend Green Cottage if you're looking for a place with some character and a very clean, comfortable stay!

We were very pleased with our stay! Personally, I was very impressed with how clean and comfortable our room and private bathroom was. Everything from check-in to check-out was very smooth and we did not have to contact hosts for further questions/help. Thanks again!

Quiet, but close to everything. A great place to retreat after an active day traveling or site-seeing. Loved being greeted by a pack of adorable golden retrievers. :)

Neeraj and I are pretty relaxed folks, love to travel, and have so many interests and life experiences from all over the World. We love to talk about environmental issues, different religions and about our love of Ethiopia, doggies, and horses. We are so grateful for the many hundreds of delightful, heartful guests who have graced our Asheville Green Cottage B & B since we opened in 2006.
