Beautifully restored 4 star gold award fisherman's cottage with a courtyard garden, hot outside shower, minutes from beaches in the heart of the old town on a quiet cobbled street. Stylish interiors provide contemporary comfort with authentic charm.
Four star gold award listed.
The cottage has 2 separate entrances - the lower entrance is on street level so great for unloading luggage. The other entrance is at the top of granite steps and leads into the kitchen. There is also a side entrance which leads directly to the outside garden terrace with the hot outside shower which is perfect for when returning from the beach. There are 3 good-sized bedrooms - one at the front on the upper floor with great views over the rooftops to the sea beyond. The lower floor has 2 bedrooms - one with a teak 4-poster double bed and door leading to the lower garden terrace, the other bedroom has twin single beds (which can be linked to make a large double) and is at the front on the lower floor.
The cottage is on a pretty cobbled street and we have a series of original ships lights on the outside of the cottage to light your way if you are arriving in the evening. The cottage is in a great location on Virgin Street- right in the heart of the conservation area of the old town, 2 minutes from the beaches, harbour, and cafes and restaurants yet quiet as the street is a traffic free road.
The whole cottage is available for your stay.
This includes free wifi, well equipped cook's kitchen with high spec appliances -dishwasher, microwave, dualit toaster and coffee machine, freezer and washing machine. There is a HDTV and Bose sound system in the living room and iPod docking system in the top bedroom.
The beds are all very comfortable with feather pillows, good quality linen, and towels all provided for your stay. There will be fresh flowers on your arrival.
Interaction with guests
We are artists/designers and have a shop "Earthworks St Ives" ((URL HIDDEN) in St Ives on Fish Street which is the road next to the Sloop pub on the harbour, so are always available should you need anything.
The shop is 2 minutes from Artist Cottage.
Other things to note
Parking in St Ives can be limited at peak times.
The nearest car parks (3 minutes away) are Barnoon car park (long stay) or the Sloop car park (short stay - to unload). The Sloop is convenient to unload. We are happy to give further directions to these car parks when you book.
We have tried to create a space that feels very much like a home rather than a holiday cottage and the house retains many original features, and everything you require for an enjoyable, relaxing stay is provided.
The cottage is no-smoking.
