The Grapes is one of Southampton's most historic public houses and famously a backdrop to the film Titanic; starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslett.
Inside the The Grapes Pub, you’ll find a wide range of Titanic memorabilia and pictures on the walls, including a framed blueprint of the ship. Outside, you can still admire the original ornate sign from 1912. As one of the nearest pubs to the docks, The Grapes was a popular haunt amongst dock workers and sailors. Its hospitality was the saving of crew member Alexander Hooper and three brothers, Bertram, Tom and Alfred Slade, who should have set sail with the Titanic on the 10th April. Drinking with friends, they lost track of time and missed her departure, thereby narrowly avoiding the disaster at sea.
The room has 24 hour access.

The Grapes is probably one on the most famous pubs in Southampton due to its prominent location on Oxford Street and its historical connection to The Titanic.
Formally a haunt for sailors and seafaring folk of all types, The Grapes now fits into the more modern cosmopolitan feel of Oxford Street’s “Café Culture”.
The Grapes still has the all important traditional feel of a proper boozer but with a modern twist. The pool table, live music and big screens contribute to the popularity of the venue and the friendly atmosphere and efficient staff ensure that The Grapes is the pub to drink in.
We serve a wide range of national and local real ales and have a splendid wine list selected by Enotria wines and a wine preservation system that ensures a perfect glass every time.
The Grapes has four comfortable rooms available for guests and offers affordable overnight accommodation.
Each room has clean en suite facilities, and soft towels are provided.
Our rooms are ideal for working professionals on short term trips to the town.
We hope to accommodate you soon,
Paul & The Grapes Team
