Simoneta was very helpful and welcoming. She gave us useful information about transport and places to visit. The apartment was very clean, spacious and modern with all of the amenities that were required. The location was perfect for our needs, walking distance to the old town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. It was also only a 20 minute walk to the quieter beaches. Simoneta also dropped us at the bus station when departing for free. Overall a great stay for our first Airbnb and would definitely recommend!

Transportation: I opted on utilizing Simoneta's airport transport offer. My flight didn't arrive until after 10 pm so it was a relief to have someone waiting for me with my name on a sign as I exited baggage claim. Uber does not operate in Dubrovnik and a cab would've easily been triple the fee. The location of the apartment was very close to public transport or a leisurely, yet scenic stroll to Old Town. A cab from Old Town will run you about $10. The apartment is also walking distance to the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. Area: The neighborhood is residential and quiet. The neighbors clearly have a sense of pride for their homes and it shows. Safety is a top concern for me as a solo female traveler and I was never worried. I walked to/from Old Town each day. There were a few restaurants and bars very close to the flat. I also walked around Lapad with no issues no matter what time I returned to the flat. Apartment: The flat was cozy and efficient. I was greeted with a box of welcome chocolates and shown how to use the much appreciated espresso machine. The flat offered essentials for a self catering unit like: coffee, sugar, salt, etc. The blinds were perfect for keeping the sun out while the air conditioning kept the flat perfectly cool. The internet connection was excellent and fast. The balcony view was serene and peaceful. Overall thoughts: I was pleased with the apartment. Simoneta was a most gracious host. She even dropped me off at the bus station upon my departure. I would highly recommend her flat to anyone that wants to be near Lapad Bay beach and a short ride to Old Town. I was thoroughly pleased with my stay.

Simoneta is a wonderful host! She went out of her way to extend her hospitality to us. She fetched us to and fro the bus terminal, which was an extremely kind gesture. We saved so much time because of her. Also, her house is very beautiful. It is very well designed and you get a nice view from the balcony too. We enjoyed having our dinner on the balcony, while watching sunset. Her house is very clean too, with a very comfortable bed. It is a reasonable short walk from her place to the old city, and you get to see nice scenery along the walk too. We walked for all the days we were there and didn't take bus at all, and we faced no problems. We really love Simoneta and her wonderful hosting!

Simoneta was a very good host. Her sister came to look after us at the airport, it was very convenient and appreciated. They both shared tips and were very helpful. The apartment was clean and we enjoyed the balcony. I recommend this place.

The apartment is great, really bright and spacious and the balcony is ideal for relaxing. The pictures are spot on, and it was really clean. Simoneta and her husband were really helpful - very communicative and offered an airport pick up to the old town, picking us up there again at check-in time (since we arrived really early and they had outgoing guests). Highly recommend taking them up on that if available. Overall we would definitely stay again if we were visiting Dubrovnik. Just a couple of things to be aware of - while the location is totally fine for visiting old town, it does kind of mean you have to be out for the day, as just dropping back isn't really an option. Old town is so busy and expensive that this really isn't an issue however. Also, the cooking facilities aren't extensive - hob, microwave, and coffee machine. Just something to bear in mind if you plan to rely on eating in the apartment. Final recommendation if you are in Dubrovnik for more than a couple of days is to turn right out of the apartment and seek out the walk around the head of the peninsula, past Hotel More - there's a lovely walk and loads of bars and restaurants down that way which just makes a bit of a change from the old town. Overall a great stay, excellent value, and recommended.
