About this listing
Eirianfa (air-ee-an-va) is set in the heart of Dolgellau within the Snowdonia National Park. If you are looking for a spacious, attractive room, good food and easy access to all the area has to offer, both day and night, then Eirianfa is for you.
Eirianfa has two guest rooms list on Airbnb: Mawddach, a flexible double/twin/family room, and Arran a light and airy single room. Both are located on the first floor of the property. Arran has an adjacent private bathroom.
As well as the bedroom, guests have access to a living room and small courtyard garden during the day. Although not undercover, cycles can be stored securely in the courtyard if required.
Interaction with guests
Your host lives on site and will greet you on arrival. We're always happy to offer advice on getting around and recommend places to visit during the day or to eat in the evening.
Dolgellau, nestling at the foot of Cader Idris, is a fascinating town to visit. If you are looking to walk or cycle along the many trails in the area, experience adrenaline-fuelled activities such as surfing on our inland lagoon or speeding down a zip wire, or perhaps you’d prefer to take things slower and ride on one of our many steam trains, visit the nearby quirky village of Portmerion or take in the history at Harlech Castle, you’ll soon appreciate that we have it all on our doorstep.
What ever you decide to do you can be sure of a great evening in one of Dolgellau's many restaurants, pubs and bars. And afterwards, relax in your room with a drink and a DVD, or perhaps a book from the wide selection in the living room.
Like most of Dolgellau, parking at Eirianfa is on-street, however we're happy to provide our guests with complimentary 24 hour visitor permits, allowing them to leave their car close by without having to worry about the parking restrictions.
Buses run far and wide from the town square, just around the corner from Eirianfa. The services to nearby Morfa Mawddach and Machynlleth connect you to the rail network.
Other things to note
Our guest rooms are located on the first floor accessed via a single flight of stairs. There is also a step up at the front door.
At Eirianfa we do not accept pets other than assistance dogs. We operate a strict no-smoking policy throughout the house, however smoking is permitted in the courtyard so long as guests are considerate to others.
No access to kitchen - there's a wide variety of cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby.
No laundry facilities - there's a convenient laundrette just a few minutes walk away.
