The neighbourhood

Looking down from the Juliet balcony you'll see Hardware Societe café - one of the best laneway cafes in Melbourne and ever popular with the crowds. Next door is the Bowery to Williamsburg café which is also owned by Hardware Societe and to the right is Hash which makes the BEST hot chocolate. CJ Lunchbar is a couple of doors away and is brilliant for a $6 or $7 meal. Just around the corner at 361 Little Lonsdale Street is the groovy bar/restaurant 1000poundbend - they do weekday early bird $3 coffees and $5 breakfast burgers. It’s a fantastic atmosphere morning, noon and evening.

This location is truly awesome. Hustle and bustle of Melbourne below yet the apartment is so tranquil and the serenity is divine. The natural light makes your heart sing. You are a five minute walk from the Bourke Street Mall and all the retail shopping you could dream of including the QV Centre which is only an 8 minute walk away. The Crown Casino, the MCG, and Etihad Stadium are also only a short tram or train ride away.

For the folk who like a work out there is a 24 hour gym just around the corner. Anytime Fitness offer a casual workout for $15.

Fancy a massage or a manicure you won't have to go far. Walk out the door and they are just across the way. Or you may be in need of a hair cut before you hit the shops or a night out - well you are spoilt for choice. You really have everything at your finger tips.

Getting around

Melbourne Central Station is a 4 minute walk away; trams at your doorstep and there is a high rise car park at 380 Lonsdale Street Melbourne, just round the corner from the apartment so all bases are covered. Melbourne is home to the tram and the City Loop train system so getting around is a breeze.

Tram travel is free within the CBD.

I have provided 2 Myki cards for your use if travelling by transport in Melbourne.

Getting from the airport you can catch the shuttle bus from the airport to town which is about a 20 minute bus ride.
It's quick, easy and very affordable - $18 one way for an adult.

The closest taxi rank is the Queen Street Rank between Little Collins Street and Bourke Street, in the heart of the city's nightclub precinct.
Operating times:
Midnight Friday to 5.00am Saturday;
Midnight Saturday to 5.00am Sunday.

This is a superb one bedroom apartment, it is roomy, light & bright with opening doors out onto a small Juliet balcony to let the sun in. The apartment is well appointed with plenty of essential supplies, the cold bottled water was most welcomed after a hot day traveling, quality fixtures & fittings (very comfortable bed) & surprisingly quiet considering your are in a busy lane. The apartment is a short walk to everything & public transport is around the corner, some of Melbourne's best restaurants are at the end of the lane. Juls was quick to answer any messages & gave very detailed arrival instructions. I can highly recommend her & her beautiful apartment.

Hi I'm Juls. Welcome to my profile. I am warm, honest and have a very positive, happy outlook on life. I love living in the moment and experiencing all that life has to offer. What gives me great joy is seeing people in their bliss. That's what I love about being an Airbnb host. Being able to provide people with having a memorable and rewarding experience.

I am very blessed as I have such an amazing family. My husband and I have been together for 18 years. We make a great team and we have 2 incredible kids who have had some amazing travel experiences already in their young lives including going to Summer Camp in the US for 8 weeks.

Melbourne is my home and I love that there is something for everyone in this vibrant, eclectic city to explore. Food, coffee, wine, sports, theatre, trams - it's a town of licorice all sorts. I also spend time in California (another place full of licorice all sorts) where I get to visit my big sister and her family, and spend time with my astrology community as one of my many gifts is that of a Medieval Astrologer.
