About this listing
Only four minutes from the closest station, this is a really cute and cosy first floor flat with lots of light. Recently refurbished and fully equipped so that you feel at home on your holiday. One double bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room.
As you can see from the pictures our cute and cosy flat has lots of light. One double bedroom so perfect for a couple. The sofa turns into a bed so you could be up to four guests. This flat was our previous home so you still get a homely feeling. We've been told by guests that it is also a great work space and inspiring for creatives. Flat is located on a very quiet street.
You will have use of the entire flat which is 1 double bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen and living room. Feel free to browse/borrow our books and also connect to the smart TV to play music, video, or use as a super size monitor. The wifi connection is good and the kitchen is well equipped as we love cooking. You will find essentials on arrival such as coffee, tea, sugar, milk and shower basics.
Interaction with guests
We live just round the corner so will usually be able to welcome you on arrival. We are contactable by phone/ and happy to answer questions and help you make your stay in London more memorable.
Kensal is fantastically located close to central London and surrounded by Portobello, Notting Hill, Paddington and Kensington. It has a trendy high street (approx. 8 minutes walk from the flat) with shops, restaurants, bars and cafés yet has managed to escape the curse of looking like so many other UK high streets that are littered with franchise outlets. There are 2 gorgeous parks within short walking distance (15-20 minutes) from the flat.
For a visitor to London a key advantage is proximity to the closest station. Kensal Green underground (Bakerloo and Overground services) is only a 4 minute walk down the road. Kensal Rise Overground station is an 8 minute walk away. Transport links are excellent and one of the main reasons we moved to the area ourselves. Portobello road market is a 25 minute walk away, 9 minutes on the tube to Paddington, 11 minutes to Euston, 20 minutes to Oxford circus, 25 minutes to Soho, 30 minutes to Shoreditch, direct connections with Embankment (Southbank), Clapham and Richmond. There are plenty of bus services and, if you're the more active type, there’s a bike path running along the canal all the way to Paddington.
If you'd rather not use public transport there's always Uber. The average wait for an Uber pickup is around 6 minutes.
Other things to note
We've collected maps and other useful London guides and travel resources for guests to refer to. You'll find these on the shelves in the living room. We've also put together our own little neighbourhood guide with recommendations to some of our favourite places, eateries and events.
We can be flexible with check in and check out depending on other bookings. Car parking is available on request.
No smoking please. Relax and enjoy your stay!
