Beautiful, historic log cabin in picturesque Rappahannock Co., at the gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Easy walk to restaurants. Galleries, antiques, and wineries abound, along with wonderful hiking. Children ages 8 and up are welcome.
The cabin is listed on the historic register. Originally the home of noted wheelwright, John Kiger, the house belonged to the owner's grandmother, and has been lovingly restored and furnished. Located on the Thornton River, the yard is a perfect place to relax and watch the leaves turn.
Guests will enjoy use of the entire house and yard.
Interaction with guests
The owners live locally, and are generally available to answer questions or provide guidance to guests with questions.
Sperryville's main street is very walkable. Full of historic architecture, this classic small town bustles with creative art, food and friendly neighbors.
Rappahannock has no public transportation system. Due to it's rural character, you will need your car (or, for the hardier souls...your bicycle!).
No smoking and no pets are allowed in the house. Please keep all beverages which might stain carpets in the kitchen. No parties are allowed without the express permission of the owners (this does not apply to long term rentals).
