This is a beautiful rural ancient farmhouse with lots of interesting and quirky sculptures and modern artifacts. Hosts are delightful and could not be more helpful and friendly. The big bedroom was warm, plenty of towels, lovely comfortable bed and total silence at night. Lots of horses around, amazing views of countryside, lovely garden and chairs. Dinner was totally yummy! I shall certainly book there again.

Highly recommend. We stayed at Turpin's place as an overnight stay to break up our journey from the South of France to the Eurotunnel. Easy to locate, less than 10 mins from motorway. Daniel and Martine were wonderful warm hosts who welcomed us into their home with all its french authentic rustic charm. Arrived late afternoon and Daniel immediately offered to book us a table in the neighbouring village, Fontaine Francaise, at a restaurant called Restaurant De LaTour. The meal at Restaurant De La Tour was excellent ( highly recommend their steak), and was very welcome meal after a long 7 hour car journey. Martine and Daniel used to run a horse riding school which delighted our two daughters who loved to see all the saddles, bridles and riding equipment in the stables, and our hosts horses in the neighbouring field. They also had chickens which our girls loved to go and see. The room we stayed in was a family garden room on the ground floor with double french doors looking over their wonderful well tended garden, with views across the valley to the village church, superb! Very peaceful, extremely comfortable beds and pillows and excellent bathroom. The room was amply big emough for the four of us and our two dogs, who were also made to feel welcome. Breakfast was very lovely in their conservatory with warm croissants and breads, excellent jams, yoghurts, hot chocolate, juice and plenty of coffee which set us up nicely for the 4 hour journey ahead of us. We only wish we could of stayed longer and we would definately stop there again. The surrounding villages are lovely especially Fontaine Francaise, with its Chateau in the heart of the village, and riverside walks. We wish them all the best and hope others choose to stay here.

The perfect stop-over spot for anyone travelling from Calais to the Midi or the Alps. Far enough from the motorway to offer a completely tranquil location. Beautiful views over the village from the garden and wonderful hosts. Martine and Daniel were warm and welcoming and the accomodation was spacious and comfortable. Some quirky decor and, if you're not a fan of taxidermy, you may want to have breakfast outside.
