Guest access

Fill your days with Fishing, White Water Rafting, soaking in the local Hot Springs, hiking the numerous Trails in the Willamette National Forrest, inner tube on nearby Blue River, go for a swim in Blue River Reservoir, rent a row boat on Clear Lake, or hike around it, visit the gorgeous local Water Falls, bike or hike The Mckenzie River Trail, have a fire in the Pit next to the River, or just relax on the Deck of your Cabin and wave to the folks drifting by.Don't forget to visit our Beautiful Koi Pond across the street and you can relax on the Deck next to a Cabin Cruiser from Hurricane Katrina!

Interaction with guests

I live right across the street so I will be here to check you in, answer any questions you may have and be a phone call away if you need me. Other than that I like to leave my guests to enjoy their privacy.

The neighbourhood

There are so many wonderful things to see and do in this area, it's likely you will run out of time before you run out of adventures.

Getting around

Lane Transit District has a bus route that runs from Eugene to Mckenzie Bridge Ranger Station and back 4 times on weekdays, twice on weekends per day. The Bus stop is about a 1/2 mi. away.

Other things to note

This Cabin is located next to Hwy. 126. While it is not normally a highly travelled road, it can be on occasion. You most likely will hear some road noise. People that have stayed here in the past have said that the River drowns most of it out. When I purchased this Cabin I stayed over night and I didn't notice the traffic until the a.m. Since then I have added sound machines to the cabins in case anyone was sensitive.

Kim's place was amazing. Clean, cozy and had everything you need except charcoal which was $15 from a general store 6 miles away. Make sure to buy some if you plan to use the grill. We loved to sit on the porch drink our coffee, listen and watch the river, before we went hiking and whitewater rafting. I also loved waking up watching the river through the big windows from the bed. It would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the road 20 yards away from the cabin, but the constant flowing of the river depleted some of the occasional noise from the road. Kim was very responsive when you need something. Thank you Kim for your hospitality and wonderful Cabin...

The sound of the river was so soothing, even though there was road noise it didn't bother me, I always take earplugs and there was a sound machine which we didn't use. Cabin was equipped with everything you would need for a nice getaway would love to come back and stay a week, just the trip we needed. Website says no cell service but we all had service with sprint were able to text and review webpages even if they were slow to load.

Kim was a great host and we absolutely loved the cabin. So historic, with beautiful updates. The deck and all the wall of windows overlooking the river were the highlights and the bed was very comfortable. We can't wait to stay again. Nothing like the sight and sounds of the beautiful McKenzie River.

Wonderful little cabin next to the river. Plentiful hiking opportunities a short drive away, and hanging out on the deck in the sunlight was very relaxing.

What a gem! This cabin felt like all the perks of scenic camping (immersion in nature/wonderful view/seclusion) with the comforts of the indoors. The cabin is charmingly rustic in the best ways but has all the amenities you could need. You're essentially hanging over the river and have a gorgeous view. We loved the sound of the water rushing by and found it to naturally drown out any highway noise (mother nature's "white noise.") The cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway. We cooked and ate in, which was easy in the updated kitchen. There's a good selection of movies and music (lots of 90s country, which is really nostalgic for me.) There are a few board games, as well. We played Monopoly and drank tea on a rainy night. Kim was a great communicator, letting us know when the cabin was ready and checking in. There are other cabins adjacent, but the cabin is free-standing and felt very private. Also, just FYI- I had signal/LTE with Verizon for those who are wondering.

Not kid friendly but a great place to get away to go to the hot springs!
