*Note: I do not accept reservations from people in Memphis and surrounding areas. My space is reserved for travelers. Also, I’m a hardcore Democrat, so, keep that In mind.*

You will experience the charm of the Old South at The Farmhouse Cottage, located in Memphis TN….Home of the Blues, and Graceland, the former home of Elvis Presley…

My home is in an older neighborhood of Memphis, on a residential, mid-city, semi-busy street.
I have ample off-the-street parking, and I am within walking distance of a library, a bus stop, the Greenline biking/walking trail, various restaurants, and a shopping center with a grocery store .

I’m about 8 miles from downtown Memphis, 4 miles to Midtown.
You will feel like you are in the country.

I’ve described the arrangement as precisely as possible, and set my rate accordingly. Be sure you read about my listing.

THE GRACELAND COTTAGE- a separate building behind the main house, which provides complete privacy and includes a queen bed, full private bath, kitchenette which includes.. microwave, small fridge, and wifi connection.

I have lived at this spacious and comfortable location for at least 50 wonderful years. There are multiple, and varied restaurants, a public library, shopping center, grocery store… all within walking distance.

I am a welcoming host, but keep in mind....
Don’t ask me to by-pass Airbnb. I value my ongoing and successful relationship with them, and I won’t jeopardize it by going around their requirements.
Be sure this casual environment is your cup of tea. I get plenty of wonderful, laid-back guests who love my home. If you are not laid-back, please look for something more expensive that suits you better.

I have had guests that questioned my neighborhood. It is not based on any occurrence any guest has had, or any I have had in the 50+ years I have lived here.
I’m not sure what they base their opinion on, but it is an unfounded assumption, and personally, I would never write that about a host’s home.

My home is way off the street, with on property parking.

Every little piece of trash or hair has to be picked up by me, and every glob of toothpaste has to be wiped out by me.
PLEASE!! if it’s yours, please pick it up and put it in the trash, and wipe out the sink! THANK YOU!

All smoking should be on the side porch of the cottage. Leave ashes there.

Please.. If your arrival time changes significantly from what you originally told me, please let me know, or you might not be able to get in, or it may not be ready.
I try to be here or make arrangements otherwise, but you must let me know.
Check in is 3:00 PM, but if you’ve told me differently, I won’t expect you at three. Later is always ok, just let me know.
Check out is 11 AM.

Drive straight back , close to the back fence to park. You will find 5 marked spaces.. Never block the drive or drive on grass, please.. :)
