What to do in Vinales?

If you are interested in discovering some local experiences, we can recommend excursions through the Viñales Valley, classified as a National Park by UNESCO. These visits could be on horseback, bicycles, horse-drawn carriages or on foot. You can appreciate the pure nature of our beautiful Valley, as well as the Mogotes (limestone mountains), caves, tobacco fields, coffee, magnoc, malanga, etc. Don't forget to stop at the farmer's house, where you can discover the tobacco process, from planting to twisting. And why not try a good cigar!

These excursions can be done with acquaintances of our family, so you can support local development.

Horseback riding in the Valley €20 x Pax including the local guide who will be a farmer. For this excursion you don't need to be a good rider or have experience… the horses are very calm, I would say semi-automatic…. Their names are Tequila, Coronel, and Mojito😳.

My recommendations as a local would be to have lunch upon arrival at Tareco's Restaurant's Rooftop.

If you want to discover some local restaurants, I recommend Bar 3J, Cubar Restaurant and El Cuajani Restaurant.
