We enjoyed our stay very much. Kenneth was an excellent host, he kept good communication with us and cooked us breakfast both mornings! Thanks Kenneth!

Response from Kenneth:
Many thanks Kat! (The above review is repeated on the site twice because there were two separate booking for the same group in two different rooms!)

Ken was a real character, and has an amazingly eclectic house. If you are up for it he can cook a great dinner too. Thanks for a really enjoyable stay.

Thanks Darren for a great review. Hope you can come back sometime for a game of pool!

Ken provided a very friendly welcome and an excellent cup of strong tea on arrival. We (myself and the other two guests who were also attending the same event at Cholmondeley Castle) chatted with Ken for hours with a shared interest of cars and IBM mainframes. The room was very comfortable, the house large and quirky with lovely gardens (and outdoor pool table) which we could not use because of the rain. The Full English Breakfast was superb and if food wasn't provided at the event, I'd have loved to have dinner and the packed lunch. Will be back next year.

Kenneth was a great host nothing was too much trouble. Lovely well kept country house. I would stay again if in the area ...thank you for allowing me to stay.

Response from Kenneth:
Thank you Chris. It is a pity that your reason for visiting was your sisters illness who later sadly passed away. Perhaps you will return for a more joyful visit before too long? Chris was a perfect guest in every way.

Ken was so kind and welcoming. He had a beautiful garden with many flowers. We had a fantastic dinner, I can't imagine that in my hometown. We talked about a lot of things such as painting, food and drink. His house was well decorated with many interesting things. So I didn't know where I looked at in his house. Experience in his house, I can't forget in my life.

When you return to England (as I'm sure you will), please look me up and stay again. I hope your visit to Liverpool lived up to your expectations!

Ken is a wonderful host and his home is large and very comfortable. He is doing a course in fine dining so he can also cook a superb dinner and full English breakfast. I stayed for two nights and he made me feel very welcome. I'll definitely be staying again over the next few months.

I am a single, semi-retired IT professional. I am a well travelled and articulate person with a love of helicopters, oceans, boating and sunshine with a sense of humour.

I enjoy cooking and a qualified Chef and dinner host. I can offer optional evening meal at an average cost per head of £13.00 with a glass of house wine such as Merlot included. Packed sandwich lunch also available on request.

Typical menu: Breast of Duck with Dauphinoise potatoes and sugar snap peas with a creamy pepper sauce.

I also paint (in oils) and have sold one or two original landscape paintings in the past.

I am also able to offer a guided tour of North Wales and Shropshire during the summer months subject to availability.
