The neighbourhood

Anna Maria Island is located on Florida's Gulf coast 35 miles south of Tampa Bay and 7 miles west of Bradenton Florida. Anna Maria Island Florida is the northern most of a string of barrier islands that stretch in a southerly direction toward the Florida Keys. Surprisingly Anna Maria Island comprises three very unique cities (villages), Bradenton Beach on the southern tip of the island Holmes Beach in the middle and Anna Maria on the northern tip. The sugar white sand beaches and crystal blue waters extend the entire length of Anna Maria Islands seven miles coast line. This isn't a place where you go to the beach. When you are on Anna Maria Island you are at the beach. Anna Maria Island is rimmed with towering Australian pines, some as high as 60 feet, along with magnificent palm trees and sea oats. Abundant bird life soar against the bright blue skies.

Anna Maria Island Florida is affectionately known as the island in the sun and is Florida's best kept secret. With Gulf temperatures averaging 84 degrees and 361 days of sunshine per year the surrounding waters of Anna Maria Island are known as the nursery because of the large number of dolphins that raise their young here. When walking or dining on Anna Maria Island's four gorgeous beaches or its surrounding coast line it is not uncommon to see dolphins playing.

With the island's laid back charm and leisurely unhurried living speed limits are restricted to 25-35 mph throughout the island. This tropical paradise also offers free trolley service for both tourists and residents. A car is not necessary when vacationing on the island or you could park your car for your entire vacation. The trolley tours the island from 6:00 am and 10:30 pm and runs every 20-30 minutes. For your convenience the trolley stops right in-front of our Anna Maria Island Florida beach rentals condo.

Anna Maria Island is completely surrounded by four tropical bodies of water and is accessible by two drawbridges from the mainland and one from Longboat Key where you will discover Sarasota. This tropical island paradise offers you seven miles of the most beautiful and peaceful white sand beaches found anywhere in the world lined with fishing piers, 150 miles of waterfront, waterfront restaurants, three waterfront parks crystal clear blue waters that meet the seemingly endless powdery white sand beaches of Anna Maria Island Florida.

Getting around

Free trolley service. A car is not necessary.

Reviews from our guests:
We are a family of four and stayed at Beach Palms 6B in July 2014. Being our first family holiday in America and our first try at renting a condo we were somewhat apprehensive as to how it would workout. The hire car found the location effortlessly and we ascended the steps, entered the keyless entry code and we were in!!!! It looked exactly like the photos - the living area spacious, the bedrooms a good size and the kitchen well equipped. The condo was clean and thankfully the air con was great at countering the sweltering heat and the beds were so comfy that a good nights sleep was almost guaranteed.

The balcony was spacious and the 4 of us could sit out to catch the early rays before the sun really started to beat down. The view over the bay from the balcony was stunning and it was a nice way to spend late afternoon or early evening - a sundowner in hand - listening for the fish jumping in the water, a flash of silver and a splash and watching the boats passing by. Some days there were dolphins right up close and watching them acting in pairs chasing fish was a nice way to relax

The beach is a few minutes walk away and it is beach as far as the eyes can see in either direction. It is so wide that it never seems to be really busy or overcrowded. When it got too hot at the beach it was nice to come back up to the condo and laze around the pool which was not overly busy during our stay and get some shade from the condo umbrellas and relax reading, listen to music or even swim. There are loads of restaurants to choose from but we concentrated on a few that were recommended to us - the Rod and Reel which we would never have found on our own, the Waterfront Restaurant and Tide Table just over Cortez Bridge For out of town eating we enjoyed Long Horn Steakhouse and Outback but there are plenty of other choices. There is an excellent Publix supermarket about a mile away and the choices available are bewildering at first and the staff there are so friendly and helpful that even the " kids" wanted to go shopping. It was a brilliant holiday which exceeded our expectations so much so that we cannot wait to return and explore the area a bit more... The Livie family 7/2014

First of all this unit is so beautifully furnished. You feel like you're at home. Plus the private balcony is perfect for laying out or drinking your morning coffee or eating your evening dinner...the private pool is secluded for a perfect relaxing day. Very kid friendly and equipped with pool toys, floats and even chairs to take to the beach. The beach is right across the street along with a great place to eat and get ice cream. Publix is conveniently right around the corner. This is the best spot on the island! We vacation there several times a year...we won't go anywhere else! 5/28/2014

We've been staying on Anna Maria for a few weeks every year at another location that was not direct gulf front and decided for our 30th Anniversary to enjoy a gulf front location this time. What a pleasant surprise! Clean, neat, reasonably priced, convenient location all in one. Management even dialed in the pool temp to our liking! Obviously, management cares at this facility and wants you to come back...and we DEFINITELY will! 11/23/2013

Hi, we’re Terry and Sandy, the caring (and hands-on) owners and managers of Anna Maria Beach Condo. We’ve been here for years, so we know Anna Maria Island, the island’s condos, and our island’s guests. We understand you – what you need, what you want, and what you’d really like to have. With us, every stay balances the rigorous requirements of professional managers with the enthusiasm, pride and personal touches of an owner-managed rental. That means that with us, you enjoy the dual benefits of an in-the-know local combined with the professionalism and expertise of a serious company. Come on down and experience the difference for yourself.

Our family fell in love with Anna Maria Island the first time we visited in 1989. Every summer since, we’ve spent our vacations on this island, and in 1995, we bought our first condo here. Having a young family at the time meant we had to rent our condo to offset ownership costs. Thankfully, by offering luxurious accommodations at an affordable price, we were able to keep the condo booked for an average of 50 weeks a year. These steady bookings allowed us to purchase our second condo in 2013, and a third in 2014. While opening up these homes has allowed us to keep returning to the island—and even better, to a house that feels like home—we also truly enjoy offering a place to guests to discover Anna Maria Island and feel at home here, too.Terryandfamily

We were honored when TripAdvisor and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) recognized our dedication to providing a top-notch rental experience with a “Top Rental Property” award two years running. More than anything, we appreciate that positive reviews from past guests determine the award winners.
