Welcome to Rosemoor Lodge. Our property is located on the edge of Bodmin Moor, in the beautiful village of Altarnun, at the heart of Cornwall and all the major tourist attractions within the county and are easily accessible as are those within Devon, should you wish to cross the border!
The lodge was designed to have as little impact on the environment as possible, with low energy lighting, heating and hot water 24 hours a day, provided by Ground Source heat pumps and solar top up on the roof.

The space
We built Rosemoor House in 1998 and Rosemoor Lodge came as a slow and steady extension in 2006. The Lodge itself is completely self-sufficient and heats itself through an underground source heat pump. Throughout the day it gets its electric from the solar panels on the roof. The bedroom and en-suite of the Lodge is submerged under our upper garden, which creates an enigmatic feel to the building from the outside.

There is Wifi access within the property now.

We welcome well behaved and fully trained dogs and they must be at least 2 years old, have a crate to sleep in and cannot be left unattended at any time.

Where you’ll be

Launceston, Cornwall, United Kingdom

The Area-
Altarnun previously known as ‘Altarnon' is a popular tourist destination. The church itself dates back to the Norman era and is commonly known as the Cathedral of the Moor, definitely one to explore. Doc Martin filmed a wedding episode in the village in 2014, and if you're a Doc Martin fan they film it just a 20-minute drive up the road in Port Isaac, a quaint little fishing village with plenty of character.

Hi, we built our house in 1998 and have lived in the Launceston area for over 30 years, and have raised our three children here. I run a Dry Cleaning and Commercial Laundry business in Launceston which I started in 2013.
