I lived at Jürgen's apartment for five months and was welcomed with open arms. He became like an older brother to me, he gave me advice, he shared his world with me. He's the kindest, coolest guy you'll ever meet and a first class professional photographer. Also, his dog is amazing. The neighborhood is close to the tourist attractions. The apartment is on a quiet side street, just a five-minute walk to the Rennweg S-Bahn (two stations from the main train station). The closest highlights are the Heeresgeschichtliches Museum (Military History Museum), and the Belvedere Schloss (Palace) and Botanical Gardens. Vienna is a walkable city. It's only 20 minutes by foot to the center of the city. If you visit in the summer, I recommend taking the S-Bahn to Praterstern and the U-Bahn to Donauinsel to go swimming in the Danube. It's a lot of fun. If it's winter and below zero for a few days, then you can even ice skate on it.

I was moving to Vienna to start a new job. This apartment was a perfect temporary accommodation to start. There is all I needed, and we could easily arrange an appointment with the host for the check-in.

The host wasn't in town when I stayed there but he was helpful over the phone and was good enough to look into how I was doing. His flatmate played host in his stead and was decently helpful and friendly. The room is actually bigger than it looks on the listing page, and otherwise looks exactly as in the photo. The street is pretty quiet, but there's a lot of cafes and other shops a couple blocks away. Inner Stadt is in walking distance, as is Belvedere Palace and the tram line to the city center. Internet was good, price was good (for Vienna) and the apartment itself is clean. Minor complaint about the shower, it was a bit small and I could never get the temperature I wanted. Other than that the only problem I can see for future visitors is that the apartment is a couple stories up and there's no elevator, so it's no good for handicapped or infirm visitors. Other than that it was great.

Thanks for the feedback Richard. I´ll tell my buddy about the dishes. Been traveling so much for work lately that it´s been about 2 months I have not been in Vienna. Thanks for pointing that out. Best, Jürgen

I was shown in by a friend of Jürgen, very warm lady. The room was spacious and homey. The apartment was clean where it counted. It was located in a quiet area very close to a tram stop that took only a few minutes to get to city center. Overall, it was a convienent place to stay. Nothing over the top to make me feel the room was prepared for me (a towel couldn't be found at first, and space in the fridge hadn't been made), but a peaceful place to sleep. If it matters to you, be aware there are two roommates in the apartment as well.

Response from Jürgen:
Hi Denver, thanks for the feedback. Will take care of the pillows. Towel should have been handed to you by Mia, also the fridge. I gotta tell her that! It´s only one roommate by the way, the other guy was a guest of Roman who happened to visit him from Germany these days.

I had a wonderful time staying here. While Jürgen was away on business, I got to stay in his room. The apartment is a traditional viennese apartment very close to the s-bahn in the inner loop. With his roommate we compared chicken noodle soup recipes and talked about life. Would recommend to all!

I got an amazing stay here! The room was much bigger than what I thought before. The location was perfect as well! It's easy to enjoy the city by tram and city train, especially to the airport. Jürgen was so nice! He gave us lots of useful information about traveling in Vienna! He is the really good at hosting people! Highly recommend this room!

Leider hatte mein Flug grosse verspätung und als ich in der Wohnung ankam, war leider keiner da. Hat ewig gedauert bis ich in der Wohnung rein dürfte.
