The house is on the hills of the Irazú Volcano just about 10 minutes from the city of Tres Ríos. The property shares a gated entrance with other properties with a couple of houses.
Originally the property was and is still used to grow avocado.
You will have access to pretty much everything in the house with all of the utensils and kitchen cutlery. The kitchen and laundry room are all yours. The oven, stove, coffee maker, toaster, washer, dryer and refrigerator are at your disposal.
There is one room we keep closed and use for storage.
You can use the terrace including the BBQ and the chairs and hammock. We will provide with wood for the BBQ and the fireplace.
Interaction with guests
We live on the property just uphill from the house and we will be mostly available during your stay. We always make sure there is somebody you can contact if needed. We will be there to welcome you into the house and to say goodbye when you leave.
We can also arrange for somebody we know to pick you up from the airport and bring you there after your stay, at a reduced price in comparison with the official taxi rates.
We will love to help you get an idea of what you can do in the surroundings or trips that you might want to make. We can even guide you through the choices of restaurants and stores. Just let us know!
Other things to note
The house is surrounded by green areas, that's what makes it so special. It also means that some wildlife can be around. You can listen to birds singing during the day and outside the property you can sometimes hear coyotes howling at night.
All animals and wildlife keep at a distance from the house and the property as they too like to be left to themselves. You will not be bothered by them and they won't bother you.
Treat the house as your own and leave it as you found it.
Of course we clean the house every time before and after guests arrive, and we also appreciate common courtesy.
There are cats and dogs on the property. Other pets from outside the property are not allowed.
