Very lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting. Requires a car for sorrento (5min drive) but nice to stay somewhere a bit less busy. Only issue was electrical problems but they were sorted out later in the day by manager. Thanks x

The location of the villa is really nice, so is the park around it. But to my opinion photos are a bit photoshopped, on the photos villa looks clean, new and bright, but in reality it really requires total renovation. And this is actually not a real villa, it is part of the big villa (built 50 years ago) that has another 9 apartments with yards. Kitchen is very very small and old, it even has some specific unpleasant smell. Couple of days the weather was very windy and this bad smell in the kitchen became intolerable to us - we had to leave and require part of the money back. I must say though that Dora is a very nice host, she was in contact with us, tried to solve the problem with the smell but didn't succeed and agreed to return money. Mr Salvatore who is looking after villa is very friendly, helpful and nice. If you are expecting luxury vacation - this is not it. But if you are not going to use kitchen and you just want to stay in cosy, typical, old villa with nice garden and great sea views I think you will be satisfied.

Response from Dora:
For every people is used to travel and knows about the sorrento and amalfi coast is clear that every building was built obvoius years ago, because since decades is not possible to build new villas, or parks. Renovation has be done just this year, and I'm really surprised that one guest that want to pay 50 euros per person is expecting something "luxury" as in a big hotel ! This is not what we offer. We offer a special and beautiful accomodation in a typical villa on the sorrento' coast, but if the guest was looking for something different, she could have book a big hotel, paying 300 euros per person for night! The refound was done without problem, because we supposed a particular status of health of the guest. The smell of the kitchen was due to the wind but nobodyelse told me about this problem, so it is quite strange.

The house is clean and cozy. The is a very nice large outdoor area. Convenient location, close to Sorrento. Dora was very friendly and helpful. Wifi is working fine in public areas, but the signal inside the house is low.

We never got to meet Dora, as she had "outsourced" the contact to the community manager and pool man. They were very friendly and appeared quite competent. The home is located in a gated apartment community, on the Sorrento/Massa Lubrense line. It is almost unimaginable staying there without a car. Parking is a bit difficult, as the space is surrounded by trees. This is an apartment with neighbors next door and upstairs, not a villa, even if it has a nice garden with a spectacular sunset view of Ischia. The neighbors were generally quiet and friendly but we could hear the upstairs neighbors flushing their toilets. There is no indoor dining area, only outdoor. The pool is unheated, or might as well be. The community is in mild decay, but the unit itself is fairly good condition, except for the electrical installations which are antiquated and underdimentioned, to the degree that we couldn't simultaneously run the microwave oven and the washing machine (and only those two things, no a/c running at the time) without tripping the circuit breakers. However, the property manager would come fairly quickly when we had problems - which we did a few times. The wifi network is communal and very slow. It only works outside the apartment.

Response from Dora:
I'm sorry is not an apartment! It is a semi-detached house with a big garden, totally autonomous. Having neighbors not defines the place as an apartment! In Italy is also normal that when you use a washing machine you can't use at the same time several appliances.

My family and I had such a wonderful holiday here. The villa is lovely and the terrace and views are incredible! We miss it! The shared pool is wonderful and well maintained and all the other people there are extremely friendly and welcoming. This is a great location too, massa lubrense is a lovely town without the crowds and traffic of sorrento. It has a great port and is perfect for exploring the amalfi coast, as well as Herculaneum, Pompeii and Naples. We also had some delicious meals out here, especially at Nastro D'Oro and Franceschiello. A perfect holiday, thank you!

We stayed as three couples and had a fabulous time at Dory's apartment. Plenty of space, clean and very comfortable. The setting and views are magical. Having the parking space was a real bonus for us and whilst we didn't get a chance to use it, the pool looked lovely. We would love to return again

Tranquil location with stunning views of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The house is beautiful and has a lovely home feeling with lots of outdoor space for dining and relaxing. There is a fabulous, shared pool which is attended and kept exceptionally clean. Due to the somewhat remote location, a car is required though only 5 minutes from Sorrento and smaller villages with supermarkets and restaurants. The whole booking process was simple with Dora responding quickly and friendly staff on hand at the apartment. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Dora, Mr Salvatore and Nino for such a warm welcome and fabulous holiday.
