The space

Peaceful location, ideal for walkers and cyclists. This is a second room available at the property (see Vintage style room in Yorkshire Barn), so great if you are travelling with friends or family. Interaction with guests

I will greet my guests on arrival, answer questions where I can, about the area. Suggesting good places to eat/pubs and entertainment. I will ask the guests what they would like for breakfast and what time they would like it. The guests will be left in peace to enjoy their surroundings. I will serve them breakfast between, 7:30 and 9am the next morning.

What a fantastic place to stay! Carol is a fantastic host that really makes you feel at home. The village is quiet, but has everything you could need. Carol's place is comfortable, spacious and impeccable. Absolutely exceeded expectations, particularly her hearty English country breakfast. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Carol was a very accomodating, warm and welcoming host, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom smart and well equipped. The breakfast was delicious and made with local produce. The location in Gargrave is ideal for the village, the Pennine Way and the beautiful Leeds-Liverpool Canal towpath. Excellent local pub and restaurant within short walking distance also. A great spot to stay.

We had a great stay at Carol's place, her house is in a lovely part of Gargrave with great walks on to the canals straight from her house. Stayed one night and got to sample Carol's delicious breakfast! All bedrooms are on the same level and share a bathroom so if your a light sleeper this might not be ideal. Six months pregnant I might have woken up our room neighbours on various trips to the bathroom. The rooms are lovingly decorated and just as pictured.

Carol's place was perfect when we stayed the night before attending a wedding at Newton Grange. She provided a leaflet to the 'Gargrave Ramble', a circular walk incorporating the wedding venue (a really nice touch, thank you) which we duly completed following the delicious breakfast. The room was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, and we had exclusive use of the bathroom (equally high standard) as we were the only guests that night. Carol also gave us advice on places to eat and was just helpful in general (including letting me know I'd left behind some items and arranging a time for me to pick them up!) without being at all intrusive. Thanks again Carol.
