Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
We are situated just 2 minutes off the A30 set in 5 acres with beautiful far reaching views of the Devon countryside close to the Dartmoor National Park.
'Ewe Two' is a contemporary built Shepherds Hut with a well equipped kitchen to rustle up a tasty snack or opt to eat Alfresco using the firepit with BBQ grill.
A comfortable memory foam double bed with Egyptian cotton bedding, feather free pillows and duvet. Walk in Shower, Basin and W.C.
Towels and complimentary toiletries are provided.

The space
Our Shepherds Hut has off grid electricity and is powered by twenty solar panels which are positioned behind a grass bank. They also power our own home. We have a back up generator which may be heard as white noise when the weather is very dull, more so in the winter months.
There is a good size enclosed garden around the hut, also an open area for your use to the rear of the hut.

Guest access
There is good access via an electric gate off the B3260, at the end of our drive you will see a second gateway for 'Ewe Two' into your own parking and grassed garden area with a clean stoned pathway and steps up into the Shepherds Hut.

Other things to note
We will provide you with a complimentary Farmhouse Breakfast pack all locally sourced, including tea, coffee and milk.
If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know in advance.
We also provide free logs, fire lighters and charcoal for use of the fire pit.

Neighbourhood highlights

The 'Ewe Two' offers you comfortable accommodation for a relaxing break with uninterrupted views to Exmoor and to the Brecon Beacons and beyond, this really is the spot for those looking for immersion in the countryside. Yet so close to local amenities. Devon has a lot to offer our guests with the Dartmoor National Park and its myriad of visitor attractions, walks, Tors, driving tours and tea shops just on the doorstep, with something new to discover every day.
The pretty village of Belstone with many walks onto Dartmoor is just a five minute drive away, along with many other quaint villages and pubs in the local area.
The National Cycle Network Number 27 runs along the lane at the bottom of the property and links to the Granite Way offering 11 miles of cycle way on a disused railway line which includes the impressive Meldon Viaduct.
We have recently acquired a Tandem bicycle for our guests to ride, so if you fancy a unique and fun way to explore Dartmoor on the Granite Way, or you can just try it out for a bit of fun on site, just let us know. ( Helmets are provided for your own safety) Bicycles can also be hired from Devon cycle hire at Sourton Down on the Granite way, also at The Granite Way cycle hire shop in Okehampton close to the railway station.
There are many beautiful beaches to enjoy in Devon and we are approximately 30 miles from the North and South coast beaches, many are dog friendly, some do have restrictions in place especially during peak season, so always check first.

I live in Okehampton in Devon with my partner Mike. We are both getting towards retirement but still have busy lives at work and looking after our sheep, goats, chickens and walking our dogs. We have just completed our newly built Shepherds Hut and now hope to enjoy meeting new people who may like to come to our beautiful area of Devon for a relaxing getaway or a more energetic stay walking, cycling and exploring the dartmoor national park area.
