The space
Welcome to Villa di Tizzano, a beautifully restored Tuscan country villa nestled among the vineyards and rolling hills of Chianti, just 25 minutes from the historic centre of Florence.
Originally rebuilt and expanded in the mid-16th century on the ruins of the ancient Castle of Tizzano, the villa has welcomed distinguished families throughout its history, including the Scolari, Pitti and Medici. In 1585, Grand Duke Francesco I de' Medici gifted the estate to the renowned sculptor Giambologna. Today, the villa has been lovingly restored by the actual owner, preserving its extraordinary character while offering the comfort and privacy expected from a luxury holiday home.
Designed for families and groups of friends, Villa di Tizzano accommodates up to 16 guests across eight unique bedrooms, elegant reception rooms and inviting outdoor spaces. Original architectural features, antique furnishings and centuries of history blend seamlessly with modern comforts to create an unforgettable Tuscan experience.
Outside, guests can relax by the panoramic infinity pool, enjoy al fresco dining surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, stroll through the gardens or simply admire the breathtaking views across the Chianti countryside.
The villa is ideally located for exploring Tuscany's most celebrated destinations. The charming villages of Greve in Chianti, Panzano, Castellina and Radda are all within easy reach, offering exceptional wineries, traditional trattorias, artisan shops and local markets. Florence, Siena and San Gimignano also make perfect day trips.
To make your stay as relaxing as possible, daily housekeeping is included, together with high-speed Wi-Fi, exclusive use of the villa, gardens and swimming pool, and concierge assistance to arrange private chefs, wine tastings, cooking classes, transfers and other bespoke experiences.

Air conditioning is available in all bedrooms.
Villa di Tizzano is a carefully restored historic residence. The air-conditioning system and modern amenities have been thoughtfully integrated to preserve the villa's original architectural character.
As with many authentic Tuscan country homes, the villa retains its original features and historic charm. Guests who appreciate history, architecture and the unique atmosphere of a centuries-old residence will enjoy a truly special experience.
Other things to note
Kindly be aware that the owner resides in the opposite wing of the villa, with separate entrances and private gardens, ensuring complete privacy for both parties.
Air Conditioning
All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning. As the villa is a protected historic property, the system has been installed in a way that respects its original architecture.
The swimming pool is available from May to September.
Given the size of the property, maid service is highly recommended. Garden and pool maintenance are included in the rental rate and are carried out regularly by the estate staff.
Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request and could be subject to an additional charge.
Lastly, a refundable security deposit of €3,000 is required upon check-in for each booking.

POOL INFORMATION:
The swimming pool is open from May to September.
Outside of this period, the pool may be made available upon prior request.
Pool heating is available exclusively during the winter months and only upon advance request. An additional charge of €150 per day applies, with a minimum charge of 5 days.
To ensure the effectiveness of the heating system, the pool cover must remain in place whenever the pool is not in use. A member of staff will take care of opening and closing the pool daily.
