The front bedroom in my house, It has a lovely brand new full bed. There is a bathroom for you to use privately. There is a TV with Netflicks, Desk & Chair, wee coffee machine. Old fashioned style! I welcome pets in the Suite but this room is off limits for dogs.

The space

The beach down the hill, peace and quiet which is great for a writer or painter. We are well located for sightseeing in the Deer Isle and Acadia National Park areas. You can swing in the hammock, read on the porch swing or go for a stroll. There is no crime here and it is very safe.

Guest access

You may use the kitchen 24/7 and use anything I have on hand for breakfast. I've always got eggs, coffee and teas, cereal, yogurt and fruit. There is slow WiFi but there is internet access.

Interaction with guests

I'll greet you and show you around then leave you to yourself unless you'd like to visit. I have assembled binders on the best places to eat and to visit. There are loads of books to read and a lovely beach just down the hill.you can drink your coffee on the porch swing or have a beer in the hammock and read a book by the fireplace if it's chilly.

Other things to note

Phones and GPS are extremely unreliable. I urge you to screenshot my directions or Write them down to avoid getting lost in the last 10 miles. I am moving check in to 6:00 as nearly 100 percent of our guests have eaten dinner while meandering along up our superb scenic coastline! Kittery has great outlet stores, Freeport of course has LLBean, Wiscasset and Camden are gorgeous. Belfast has an adorable antique Historic downtown with little boutique shops and places to dine.

Blue Hill has 3 terrific restaurants for dinner also. Most places do close by 9 pm so you'll need to eat perhaps earlier than you might be used to doing. If you sincerely need an earlier check in time just ask and I will do my best. Otherness I'll see you in the evening anytime up to 11:30 PM It would be very helpful if you could text along the way and give me an eta as your day evolves.

Staying at this 200 year old Maplehurst House, was like being right at home. Annie is a wonderful host. She let us cook whatever we wanted in her beautiful kitchen. The house is decorated, to perfection, with antique furniture and quilts on the beds and floral paper on the walls. Annie rescues birds. So we had the pleasure of seeing them. The beds are very comfortable too. Anything you needed was provided for. We would highly recommend staying here.

The room was very spacious with a wonderful view over the garden and the sea. Annie was very welcoming and let us help ourselves with anything we would like for breakfast - and she kept ice cream for us in the freezer. Thanks, would stay again.

Annie's place is spectacular!! The home is comfortable and beautifully appointed with antiques, itself being well over 100 years old. Annie has thoughtfully prepared each room (I got my pick!) and the bathroom with anything a guest could want (toiletries, smart tv, minifridge, keurig, etc.). She even asked what I liked for breakfast before my stay and had everything stocked in the pantry. Annie rescues exotic birds and they are very well behaved in their own room, I never heard a peep from them at night. I highly recommend taking time to explore this Victorian home and walking down the road to the beach, where there are wonderful views of the bridge and islands. Annie herself is a wonderful host and made me feel at home immediately after a very long day. She is often around if you need anything, but will give you your space as well, and responded quickly to texts. You can tell what a kind, caring person she is just by seeing how her birds act around her! They know a good heart when they see one. The location is beautiful, 5 minutes from the water, but is also incredibly out of the way - look out for deer and critters at night. Cell phone signals depend on your elevation and change drastically while driving through the hills in the area. Wifi was also a bit of a challenge at first, but I got it eventually. You definitely want to print out a map or take screen shots of directions, as Annie recommends on her profile. While gas stations are everywhere, it is several miles to the nearest grocery store, restaurant, or shops in general. A good 45 min. drive to Belfast and hour to Bar Harbor. My visit at Annie's home was perfect, I wanted for nothing and felt very welcome. Highly recommend to anybody looking to stay in the area!

Annie was very nice and helpful and her place is very comfortable and well appointed. We spent three nights there and during the day toured to Acadia and Stonington. It is out of the way but is nicely located for sight seeing.

Annie is a very attentive host and took great care to make sure that there was lots of self-serve breakfast food available. The house is an antique and is filled with interesting pictures and objects. If you are anywhere in the Sedgwick area, this BnB provides good quality for a reasonable price.

I adore traveling Internationally and have been to 62 countries. We have been Astonished and Thrilled to have had guests from 38 countries now as well as many States! I read voraciously and love animals. If I won the lottery I'd build an Aviary for our rescue parrots and perhaps fill my home with truly Great Art and antiques. I particularly enjoy gardens, flowers and the ocean.
