About this listing
This house sits on a VERY quiet street of one-acre plus lots and is a great retreat from busy life for 1 to 8 people who would like to experience the beauty of Central Oregon with the comforts of home. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. There is absolutely no walking on neighbor's properties - no noise after 10pm - no walking dogs without a leash. These things should go without saying, and most guests have been great, but with another disrespectful renter, our HOA may take away our privilege to rent :-(
The house is large. We call our place a cabin, as it is rustic and not contemporary (Built in the 70's). Comfortable, while not fancy :-) We hope the photos make this clear. The neighborhood is extremely quiet. You are five minutes from Sister. Lots of good walks - Especially right across the street to the "Pioneer Graveyard", as we used to call it growing up (Camp Polk Cemetery). Another option is straight up the hill to that neighborhood.
Please know that we have more information in the Special Instructions page.
We ask that unless you are paying for extra guests (more than 4) you keep the basement bedroom unused. We consider it our overflow bedroom :-)
Interaction with guests
As we said in the special instructions, we really hope that your stay is a pleasure. Please text us if there is any way we can help with that.
Indian Ford Ranch is a quiet community of mostly 1 to 2 acre lots located 2 miles from the town center of Sisters, Oregon.
By car, you are five minutes from Sisters, 20 minutes from Redmond and 25 minutes from Bend. Suttle Lake and Camp Sherman are 20 minutes away, and you are 15 minutes from Black Butte Ranch. The roads in the area have little traffic and bikers are a common sight.
Other things to note
We do have a blow up mattress and a cot, if there is need from more sleeping space and someone is willing to do that. If so, a sleeping bag would be a good idea :-) No sleeping on the trampoline.
Also: THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. Please be respectful of neighbors. It is a very quiet place. There is little to no late night activity. No walking on neighbors properties, and always leash your dog outside. We live in an HOA, and if our guests do not respect the neighborhood standard, we can lose our privilege to rent our home.
