This shows the way to my place from the station. Use the exit B1 at the Sumiyoshi Station, where is an elevator. Go left and turn left at the 2nd corner. Walk about 150 meters and you will find my place on your right.

About this listing

My place is 45 years old, nothing new, but you can get me from the station Sumiyoshi within 4 minutes on foot. It has 2 subway lines. You can go to Akihabara, Shinjuku, Shibuya very easy. I don't have bath, but you can enjoy Sento instead of it.

The space

My place is 45 years old and nothing new, but I try to make my place nice. I have some English lessons beside you, so you will have sometimes talk with Japanese kids. If you do not relate to them, you will have a place to keep your private time.

Guest access

You can use kitchen whenever you want.
You can also use toilet whenever you want. It is on the same floor you will stay at ,but it is not in my place.

Interaction with guests

I work at my place almost every day until about 8. I try to keep in contact with you.

Other things to note

One of my photos show my bad point. The toilet is a few meters away from my place, but it is on the same floor. Besides, I don't have bath, but you will definitely enjoy a Sento instead of bath.

Sue was very kind and was helpful in showing me around and all of the things that were available. The place was clean and she even prepared all the items to the sento nearby. The only thing was that it was a bit noisy in the morning.

We only stayed one night and felt comfortable - the toilet issue didn't bother us at all-Sue is friendly and made us feel welcome- We recommend this place - Arigato gosaimas!

We got off the train around 7pm so it was quite difficult to find people for directions. Sue was very nice to show us using the access code and welcome notice on the wall for instructions for kitchen facility. Toilet is located at outside the unit but got good lighting to get there at night.

Sue was a sweet and thorough host. Before arrival she sent us detailed instructions and kept in contact to make sure all our questions were answered. There were also English signs within the Airbnb to further guide us. The place itself wasn't anything fancy but it was very clean, spacious and has everything necessary for traveling on a budget. Another bonus is that it is located within walking distance to Sumiyoshi station! Only thing to note is that the bathroom is located in a publicly accessible area. This wasn't a big problem for us but it was a little unnerving at night since the corridors were dimly lit. Also, there is no shower, but Sue provided us with locations to affordable public bath houses down the street. However, the highlight of our stay was Sue's hospitality! She helped rearrange the room for us when we were busy and even provided us with an extra bed.

It's quite an unexpected place as it is within an English school. But it meets the simple creature comforts! Read her whole description all the way through (as I have forgotten to do so). There is no shower! But the alternative ended up being better than a shower in my opinion. You would have to use a sento, which is a public bath. It's a few minutes away by foot. I've been to a public bath before so being unclothed in front of strangers of the same gender was not new to me. Warning to travelers who may not feel comfortable! However, the experience is worth it. The hot spa is extremely relaxing and puts me right to sleep after. Great for weary travelers. To note, sento is open 3pm to 10pm and 460yen per adult. Sue is a wonderful lady and her location is quiet and residential. Great to unwind after a day in loud Tokyo.

Hisayo's place was nice, the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and She lend me towel, hand towel, soap and shampoo. There was no bathroom, but there were two Sentou nearby. Hisayo was very helpful and easy to communicate. She gave me the tips and some hint of the neighborhood. I stayed for 10 days and liked there.

I am an English teacher. I worked at Junior high schools and high schools for 15 years. I started my own English school and teach Japanese kids now. I like to give my hospitality to my guests and teach them about Japanese culture.
