Bahja and his brother were kind and hospitable hosts who welcomed us warmly. Once we received their correct phone numbers (the phone number listed was not working), we found them to be very responsive when we had questions regarding the house during our stay. However, the house was not at all what we were expecting. The house itself is very spacious with plenty of room, but it was left quite unfinished. There had clearly been no effort in cleaning the house before our arrival. There was still moldy bread sitting in the dish rack of the kitchen, dirty dishes, no flushing toilet, no toilet paper, no working shower, no clean sheets or pillows, and no door separating the second floor and the balcony. Luckily, there was wifi! On a more serious note, as three women staying alone in this house, we did not really feel safe. At one point in the middle of the night, we heard someone trying to get into the house so we were forced to arm ourselves with the only weapons available - two forks, the house keys, and perfume. Thankfully, when we called the owner, it turned to be his brother. We would have liked to have some notice before someone tried to come into the house at 1AM in the morning. I would only recommend this place IF it happens to be cleaned properly and ensured that all basic amenities are met. The location and the price were very reasonable, and Si Najib makes a delicious tajine!
