Our recently remodeled home in the Mission is in a 100 year old Victorian building, combining the best of old-world San Francisco with all the joys of today's Mission District.
Your bright, sunny bedroom has a queen size bed, sofa, rocker, and dresser, with views of a lemon tree and a lush garden out the windows. There's also a single mattress stored under the bed, which you can set up on the floor for a third guest (or a second bed if the two of you prefer to sleep separately.)
The private bath has a 'like rain' showerhead, over a traditional clawfoot tub. Relax in the living room, curl up in the sunporch, or enjoy an evening glass of wine in our secluded garden.
Located between Valencia Street and Dolores Park, you're steps from Foodie Heaven:
Tartine, Delfina, Bi Rite Market, Mission Chinese Food, Locanda, Range, Foreign Cinema, BiRite Creamery, the list goes on, and seems to grow daily, with all of the above within three blocks of our house…
It's the heart of the Mission, close to the Castro, Haight Street, Noe Valley. Super convenient to both BART and MUNI. Easy access to SFO, Union Square, Moscone Center, Market Street, the Ferry Building, AT&T Park, everywhere!
The 101 and 280 freeways are also nearby, but parking in our neighborhood is tough. (There is a parking garage three blocks away, ~$20/day.)
And it's a fantastic neighborhood for bicycling, with dedicated bike lanes on both Valencia Street and 17th Street. We are both avid riders, and love to share the city's cycling secrets. (Trust us: You want to know about the Wiggle before you set off to the park!)
WiFi and in-home laundry available, but parking is not!
(There's a garage a few blocks away, ~$20/day. Street parking is difficult. You may be better off leaving the car home!)

Wendy, Ivan and Milo were the most gracious hosts one could ask for. I couldn't have been more relaxed on my first trip to SF. They made sure that everything was perfect and gave me great advice for the surrounding areas.
I hope to stay here again if I'm ever on vacation!
San Francisco was great and we were glad we could stay in the beautiful house from Ivan and Wendy. We were with 3 adults in the room for 2 nights, but the room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you Ivan for being such a nice host!
Such a nice trip! Lovely room, gorgeous bath and Ivan was the best host. My first Air BnB experience on my own and it was the perfect induction. Great that I could leave my bike downstairs and know it was safe. also the location was just perfect for my tastes - great food, great vibes, huge thumbs up.
Had a wonderful time staying with Ivan and Wendy (and Milo!) for 3 nights in San Francisco. The room and the private bathroom were spacious, clean and comfortable - I was especially obsessed with how cute the bathroom looks (Ivan knows). Both Ivan and Wendy were very friendly, easy-going and eager to help. Had no problem checking in and checking out at all. The location is excellent - everything is within walking distance, the BART, Dolores Park, all the great restaurants on Valencia.... Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay at. Will definitely come back when I visit San Francisco again!
Ivan and Wendy are perfect hosts and make a terrific bedroom and private bath in their beautiful home available to guests. This was our first experience with airbnb and also our first 'big adventure' as recent retirees. We really appreciated Ivan's willingness to meet us at 2pm as we came off a 'road trip' and needed to leave our luggage before turning in our rental car downtown. The comfy bed and VERY quiet night were such a bonus to weary travelers!
Our hosts introduced us to the delights of vibrant street, dining and night life only a few steps away on Valencia. After fabulous meals among high energy crowds at Limon and Locanda, the stroll with the ebullient throngs enjoying the balmy nights returned us to another peaceful night overlooking the garden at the back of this historic house. The weekend gatherings in Dolores Park are to be experienced, and morning runs with thrilling city views from the stairways of Dolores Heights seemed safe to this 'country mouse'. We became croissant regulars at (delectable) Tartine, followed by the pleasant walk past the historic Mission Dolores to the 'N' line(Ivan's tip), thereby accessing downtown/Ferry Wharf in one direction and the museums and gardens of Golden Gate and Lincoln Parks the other.
Ivan and Wendy were very welcoming and made the stay really comfortable. The room was clean and quiet with lots of natural light. Location was great. Would be happy to stay with them again
Beautiful apartment, large well-lit room, and a perfect location in the heart of the Mission.
Ivan and Wendy are warm, interesting people and excellent hosts.
Althought I stayed in this house for only 1night ( I checked in late and checked out early), I can say that this place is good and recommendable. The host was so nice. When I had to book a taxi ride after check out, the host helped me to book it directly.
The room I stayed is big and the bed is cozy. If you have a plan to visit San Francisco. I definitely recommend this house!
Ivan & Wendy are fantastic hosts, they made me feel very welcomed instantly. I really enjoyed chatting with them, they’re both very easy going and they’ve traveled pretty much everywhere! Their dog Milo is uber cute and I loved his little Chihuahua face :)
Ivan & Wendy’s place is my dream home, a large house beautifully decorated and fully equipped with every amenity you may be need during your stay. The room itself and the private bathroom were gorgeous and very comfortable for my 2 week stay. The area is fantastic, with great food & nightlife around the corner. Ivan & Wendy also recommended some awesome places to hang out in the neighbourhood and made my stay extra special.
Ivan knows how to host! Completely gracious, thoughtful, great conversationalist, and fantastic home. Ivan was able to accomodate me at the last minute for which I was really happy for. Gave stellar, organized directions on how to reach his home from SFO. The spot is located in the Mission and only a couple blocks away from Dolores Park where I had an awesome Sunday afternoon. Great restaurants, shops, coffee, loved it. It was my first time back in the city in 5 years and I loved it! Will be making a return visit soon.
