El Cortijo del Pino is an authentic 19th century Andalusian farmhouse close to Granada, with a carefully selected decoration, cosy atmosphere and familiar treatment in the 4 lodgings offered here.

The Cuadra (cowshed) house has 2 double bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, living room with fireplace, bathroom and terrace with outdoor furniture.

The space
The Cuadra house is located in the old cowshed of Cortijo del Pino, an agricultural building situated in the fertile plain of Granada, just 3 km from the city. It has 2 double bedrooms, bathroom with shower, living room with wood-burning fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen and an outdoor terrace with outdoor furniture.

Cortijo del Pino is a large country house from the end of the 19th century restored to offer 4 independent rural flats (Atrojes, Cuadra, Tinao and Torreón) distributed in former farm buildings, in addition to the family home and other spaces for agricultural activity. There is parking and a wonderful swimming pool (6 x 12 m) with solarium and outdoor furniture available from April to November, as well as a small shop with local organic products (wine, oil, tinned food, cheeses, yoghurts, eggs...).

The building is structured on two floors around a central courtyard with stone columns, a tower with a dovecote, a cistern and outbuildings for agricultural use. It is surrounded by abundant vegetation made up of centenary lime trees, palm trees, oriental plane trees, cypresses...

The rehabilitation of the building maintains the structure of the building at all times and recovers most of the original constructive elements: carpentry, terracotta and ceramic flooring, and even traditional fittings and furniture. The atmosphere is very welcoming and authentic.

In addition to its tourist use, Cortijo del Pino maintains its agricultural activity, with two hectares of organically produced fruit trees (apple, pear, plum, apricot...). Its staggered production throughout the summer is destined for local consumer groups and specialised shops in the town, which our clients are free to enjoy.

BIKES
In the Cortijo we have several bicycles available for the use of our clients. You may enjoy a ride through the country discovering the Vega, or a make a visit to Granada. There is a bike lane right next to our complex to ride safely into the city in about 15 minutes.

POINF OF SALE OF ORGANIC PRODUCTS AND HANDICRAFTS
We also have an outlet where you can buy some packaged organic products from small initiatives of local farmers in the province of Granada such as honey from the Alpujarra, olive oil, jams made with subtropical fruit from the coast, tinned food and dried goods.

THE ALHAMBRA
To visit the Alhambra, we highly recommend you get tickets in advance as soon as possible, as they frequently sell out. The entire visit usually lasts 3-4 hours if you want to visit the Alcazaba, the Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife gardens. When purchasing your tickets, select morning or afternoon shift. Please note that the ticket specifies the time you have to be at the entrance of the Nasrid Palaces to visit this part of the site.
From the Cortijo del Pino, it is about a 15-minute drive and you can park in the outside parking adjacent to the site.

ALBAYZÍN AND SACROMONTE
To visit the Albayzín and the Sacromonte, you must get to Plaza Nueva, from here you can walk up the Calderaría (Arabic quarter with shops and tea rooms) or the Carrera del Darro and the Cuesta del Chapiz. Another option is to take the local bus number 32 (circular ride through the Albayzin) or number 34 (to reach the Sacromonte).

Mi abuela adquirió el Cortijo del Pino en el año 1940 y desde siempre ha estado dedicado a la actividad agraria. Hace unos años rehabilitamos parte de la edificación como alojamiento y en la actualidad compato el cuidado y mantenimiento del Cortijo con la actividad agrícola.
La rehabilitación del cortijo ha sido para mi un trabajo al que he puesto mucha ilusión y dedicación durante años. En la actualidad la recuperación de una agricultura de calidad y la puesta en valor del entorno son para mi un nuevo reto.
