About this listing

This beach is still very natural and unspoiled. It is a popular area to wiew wildlife animals in their natural habitat. Perfect place to accommodate big families or group of friends.

The space

Palo Seco beach is very quiet location without tourist crowd. The beach is still very natural and unspoiled even though it is very close to Uvita and Manuel Antonio National Parks. It is a popular area to wiew wildlife animals such as white-faced monkeys, crocodiles, baby turtles (from August to November) and a huge array of birds.

Guest access

From the international airport in San Jose it is aproximately two and a half hours drive. It is possible to take a bus to Parrita town, than take a taxi all the way to Palo Seco Beach. If you would like to stay for more than two weeks and if you are traveling with children we recommend to rent a car.

This house is very secluded. It was awesome to have music to play and options for CD's and iPod dock. The DVD library was a life saver for my kids and the pool table was an added bonus. The house was spacious and welcoming. We had no water for a day( a fuse blew) and when we were able to get ahold of the handy man, he arrived quickly which was nice. There was no hot water and the shower had very low pressure which made washing difficult. That was my only complaint. The beach was very private but had crazy rip currents. There was information on this in the house when we arrived which was helpful but I do not recommend entering the water anywhere near high tide. We enjoyed the water ONLY at low tide. The stray dogs were incredibly sweet and welcomed and the coconuts were plentiful.

Cool house if you want to be (URL HIDDEN) would be nice if it had a pool.....Friendy poodle and lab hang out on the porch and plenty of coconuts to pick up and drink...Also mangos to eat from the trees. Beach close but waves to harsh to swim in for us...maybe good for surfers It was great to have a washer, dryer and pool table.Rooms have air conditioning. He kitchen was stocked to cook and there were Plates, cups and silverware. Outside and tiny to watch And are harmless. We went to the beach in the evening and watched the lightening storms it was cool! The host was very kind

Magnificent getaway. Off the beaten path and away from the (rest of the) tourists. Many residents in the neighborhood are locals. Beach is uncrowded and simply stunning – although watch out for the rip tides, can be very dangerous. Not much going on in the immediate area, but Quepo is a very manageable 30min drive away and offers many activities which we took advantage of (segways, ziplines, rafting, boating, restaurants, shops). Spent a week there – two families of four. House was full, but still accommodating for all. Kristina & Yin were excellent hosts – promptly responded to all our questions. Two adorable dogs will be there to greet you as you come and go (they live next door) – which was an unexpected highlight. No view of the beach, but it is right around the corner.

Kristina is a great host, easily reachable and very responsive for any questions or matters we had before or during our stay. Our group of 7 friends really enjoyed the villa, it's comfy, well-equipped and close to the beach. Palo Seco is a great place to stay in Costa Rica if you'd like a quiet and beautiful location, off the touristic paths, where to enjoy sunrises and sunsets... Thanks Kristina and say hi to the dogs, they were friendly unexpected companions!

This house is 2 minutes from a secluded private beach with wonderfull waves for surfing. You need a 4x4 to get around. It is less than one hour drive to Jaco, Quepos, Manuel Antonio Park. If you are adventurous, i recommend Los Campesinos Reserve for a suspended bridge and waterfalls with natural pools. Definitely need 4x4 to get there... Host is perfect with quick responses and great directions Highly recommend if you are in the central Pacific area. Please pet the little black poodle dog he is adorable.

Our family was after a place off the beaten path with toys and access to the beach. This place was just what we wanted.
