Quiet location close to transit, shopping, restaurants, and a great view of the city over at Dolores Park a few blocks away. Room met our needs perfectly as a base for exploring the Mission. We were visiting during an extreme heat wave and James kindly went out to purchase a fan and dehumidifier to help combat the weird weather (106F in SF!!!). We rented bikes for our visit (from Mission Bicycles on Valencia), so note that you will want to use 22nd Street as an access point rather than 21st, where there are Hills of Death!

Great location! It is as small as it looks, but if you are looking for a place to spend your sleeping hours it's perfect:)

Great place. Location is amazing, next to Dolores park -- really hard to beat. It's a bedroom with its own private bathroom, but it also has private access to the street. Also, a mini-fridge and microwaves are provided. Perfect if you're looking for the privacy of an apartment / studio for the price of a room. Check-in system allows for flexible check-in and check-out arrangements. In my case, host was very flexible with check-in and check-out times, which was most appreciated. Would certainly stay there again. Highly recommended!

James was very responsive and even let us check in early. The unit is near the Mission and you can easily access public transit. It is about a block away from Mission Dolores Park. Although James was very responsive the room was a little stuffy and the restroom had a pantry style door which made it moist inside the room and uncomfortable as even the sheets felt a little moist. The room was not cleaned thoroughly and was a bit dusty. Since James and his family do live in the same unit we experienced a lot of noise coming from upstairs as they were walking (this can be an issue when trying to sleep in or if you're not a heavy sleeper). Amenities were included (toilet paper, towels, shampoo) which was great. Please be aware that parking throughout the week is a 3hr or 2 hr? restriction so if you're planning to travel within the week you must move your car every so often.

James' place is perfect. This is an ideal accommodation for a solo traveler or a couple. The room is located in a very safe neighborhood with quick access to my one of my favorite streets in San Francisco, Valencia St. The location is hard to beat. It's just a mere two blocks to Mission Dolores Park and a short distance to bunch of great restaurants and nightlife. I would definitely use again!

Lovely spot, exactly as described. The place was spotless on arrival. Cosy, quiet and great location. Perfect base to explore all parts of the city. Quick and easy to access wifi. James was very quick to respond to messages if we needed anything at all. Happy to recommend.

I'm a video editor, married with 2 kids.
We live is San Francisco and enjoy getting out of the city every once in a while.
We are foodies and love to go to Napa for wine tastings as well as enjoy camping kayaking and outdoor activities. We love to travel and some of our favorite international destinations include Paris and Lima, Peru. In the msummer growing up my family would always go to upstate NY to the Adirondaks to enjoy nature and being in the woods and I am hoping to find similar experiences in northern California for my children.
