Great place to stay while you are on the move. Cheaper than hostel prices and you can rest easy knowing your stuff is much safer. I stayed a week between moving apartments and had no issues.

Fantastic, unexpected and really really cool! If you are looking for an authentic Shanghainese neighbourhood, Dan's place will make you feel like you were living in some kinds of old Chinese films(basically my dream comes true). Dan is very communicative and easy to get along with. She invited me to watch a shadow figure show with her during my stay and that was really an unexpected experience, a lot of interesting memory, highly recommand!

Small but comfy place in a very nice and quiet area. Dan's really friendly and helpful. Her cat might be a bit noisy during the night and leaves around a fair amount of cat fur but it's easy to make friends with him too. Ideal place to stay at if you plan a short visit to Shanghai.

My stay was perfect. The place is gorgeous if you want to live the local experience. Dan is so helpful and nice. Everything was good for me and for anyone that do not expect to have a room similar to a hotel. I loved this place

Extremely good spot, surrended by all kinds of plant. Very well designed room! Dan is a very nice, interesting individual with tender heart and big dreams! Travel around the world, we share most of the interest! I got my "corner office" (Kitchen) work and enjoyed the music performed by wind and birds, it is quite a thing! 5 Star! Highly recommended, it gonna be my #1 choice when I visit Shanghai next time!

Well, my trip was a vindication of Murphy's law. Thursday morning when I just boarded the train, and texted Dan saying I missed my flight so she didn't have to wait for me, she replied, "sorry I'm too busy to tell you, you can't live here today." so I had to spend hours on the train looking for a new place to stay. Friday I got the keys. House was lovely and conveniently located close to the metro. Only that the bathroom was outside the apartment building, so it was really cold to go to the toilet, shower and stuff. Saturday night I went out till very late and it was raining. I got back only found that the door was locked from the inside. Couldn't wake her up, phone was dead, went to 711 and stayed until almost 8 in the morning. Sunday I left with a cold. Sorry but no chill. :(
