Do not stay at this property. I had made a reservation for 5 days but my friend and I left early because we felt unsafe. The host, with no evidence, accused us of stealing from another guest and when we insisted that we hadn't he began to use threatening language, claiming he would call the police unless we gave back what we had allegedly stolen. Since we hadn't taken anything, we felt incredibly threatened by the host, unsure what he would do when we returned to the property and so went to the police ourselves. The police informed us that the property we were staying in was in a very dangerous area and escorted us to the property for our safety where we removed our belongings. Before the incident happened, I was barely satisfied with the property- acknowledging that you get what you pay for. The host had communicated well until this incident but that is little in comparison to the trauma that we experienced on our last day.

Nicely said Elinor.I want you to read what good things i wrote about you hoping that in your heart you or your friend would return this poor guy's phone. What you may not have known was that your friend was sitting alone in the dark at 2.30 am in the morning when this guy left his phone in the bathroom. You guys were the only one that left so early that morning and the phone was immediately tracked by all the other guests leaving the house .I immediately reached out to you that the phone was tracked. You immediately blocked your messages with no response only when via bnb i told you the police may be involved that you admit seeing it .Why did you bring the poilice and checked out early, why did you looked at the guy smiling while walking away. I only try to help with the info the other guests told me,we even search the (URL HIDDEN) one left but you guys and it was tracked leaving the house. Why leaving so early that morning .Folks always protect your belongs.I never treat her badly as she says and is writing bad things. What goes around comes around.I know she will return or pay for that phone, this will torment her till she does. As of this moprning i have to go retrieve a piece of jewelry from the sink for a (URL HIDDEN) her wedding ring and (URL HIDDEN) Sunday and you know what? I told her to go about her business and it will be on her bed on her return. She trusted me.Life is not about money or taking other's peoples stuff.Remember God is testing. You always pay in the long run-sickness,bad luck etc.you know it when it's too late.Folks this is the 1st time a guest lost something at my place.I'd mail their stuff to them around the world, mostly cameras/phones.

This place is neat and clean, although it is small. It is good for short stay. It was very quiet. Jack’S is friendly host and interactive.

Jack is nice, even the house is a bit old but you can see he put a lot of effort to keep it clean and fulfilled budget travelers need. If you drive, it's a bit hard to find a parking space around the house, but public transportation is easy to reach, 3 mins walk to the bus stop in front of 7-11.

Checking in and out was a breeze and the Lyft ride from the city wasn’t bad either. You get what you pay for!

Good price, good location, path train to World Trade Center only 20ms. Everything is good but the smell in the room is really unacceptable. And it's dangerous at night.

Response from Jack'S:
Allen come on why "dangerous" don't misjudge people because of the color of their skin brother. Some guest cook and the smell sometimes lingers-there is vent for that but they don't use.I'm sorry should have told me.That's why i'm around to make sure your stay is a pleasant one.Sorry

I started doing Airbnb a little while ago and it's such a wonderful experience meeting new people from around the globe. My guests are strictly Airbnb & include Pilots,Attorneys,Graduated Doctors,Engineers,Interns,Foreign Tourists etc. My motive is to provide cheap, basic, safe and clean rooms and i expect you to clean up after yourself and be considerate in your reviews-no luxury here and you don't pay for that. I gave my guests privacy for that homey feel. All of my rooms are in Journal Square vicinity, a few mins walk or ride to the PATH train. Journal Square Path Station is the main Transportation hub in New Jersey ,all buses/trains stops here.Newark airport(EWR) & Penn Station is approx 10- 15 mins. From here you can take the 24hrs.PATH TRAIN or a bus for a short 10-15 mins ride to WTC or 33rd St.(last stop nearTimes Square) all NYC attractions are super easy-mostly walkable . At some locations you could also walk 10-15 mins to the Light Rail that goes to the Downtown ferry,Statue of Liberty,Bayonne,Port Liberte Cruise Terminal(Norwegian) ,Secaucus Convention Center,Hoboken etc.etc. It also links the Path train for World Trade Center or Times Square (last stop 33rd & 6th-walk few streets) Please note travel time may vary upon time & circumstances Food,supermarkets,stores,LAUNDRY,shopping,BANK,liquor,24 hrs pharmacy, parks, shopping malls, store etc.are everywhere and walkable. EXPRESS NYC BUSES at end of street(exact fares may be required $1.75/$4.50) OR walk to METRO for NYC (all locations are within 10-30mins total commute depending where you book).Very CONVENIENT and SAFE for TOURISTS.I can accommodate any # of persons giving adequate notice. I'm located 15-45 MINS approx. by CAR from all MAJOR AIRPORTS-EWR (the closest),JFK & LaGuardia, and same for Penn Station,PIKE ST.BUS DEPOT in CHINA TOWN (for those coming via BOSTON) Grand Central,Convention Centers.I'm available 24 hours for questions or assistance. My check in is flexible after 4PM,come any hour after that ,earlier /late check in or check out can also be arranged if possible. Once you book your stay Airbnb will provide you with my watts app is the same # wifi is at airports and cafes. Thanks for reading and hope you select my room from of all your choices you will be family here!!!
