Comfortable and very well appointed house--plenty of cooking materials and basic necessities are provided. Communication was good and Sara's husband Colin came over to reboot the TV when we couldn't do it for ourselves. Location is good--about 5 minutes outside of Boothbay with some great hikes available nearby. The view of the water is across the street and through trees, so if you are looking for something right on the water, this is not it. That being said, the reasonable price reflects the off the water location and we enjoyed our stay quite a bit.

Sara's cottage had all the essentials we needed in a beautiful location for our trip to Boothbay Harbor. Cozy atmosphere in a charming location. Couldn't be happier with our stay!

Sara has an incredible place, very cute, well equipped and in one of the most beautiful spots in America. Bed was divine and the fireplace easy to work. Kitchen has everything you need. Highly recommend you visit her neighbor Collin to check out his oyster farm.

Wonderful cottage was exactly what we were expecting. A quiet place near the ocean and only a short bike ride away from the bustle of Boothbay Harbor. We were greeted by a doe and yearlings in the backyard and enjoyed a fire each night of our chilly late August stay. Top tip: rented a tandem kayak in Boothbay, paddling up the Townsend Gut to the Hodgdon Island bridge and back again to Boothbay. A terrific late summer getaway!

We loved our five night stay here. It's a very quiet location and the house is set back off the road. The house itself is perfect for two people and the kitchen is great if you want to cook for yourselves - something you don't always find in more rustic lodgings. The king bed upstairs is also great, which was an extra bonus (it can be hard to find Air BnB places with king beds in the first place, and especially comfortable ones). Plenty of hot water in the shower when needed, and the bathroom is a good size. If you want to be right in the middle of the relative hustle & bustle of Boothbay Harbor, this isn't the spot for you. It's in a quiet neighborhood on the outskirts, which seems to me to be why you come to Maine in the summertime, to get away from it all. That being said, it's very quick and easy to get anywhere you want, from "downtown" to going even further out (7-10 mins to Boothbay Harbor proper). Which made it exactly what we wanted. Sara's communication was great and we didn't have a hitch for our entire stay. Perfect.

We have stayed at Fisherman's Cottage twice now. It is a wonderful cottage nestled on a beautiful bay in Mid-Coast Maine. For those who have not been to New England, it is classic New England and a true gem. For those who are from here, it will not disappoint and will remind you of summers growing up. The cottage is beautifully decorated with unique details. The bed is comfortable, the space inviting and the kitchen fully usable. A++ for cleanliness. Short drive to town, steps away from nature trails & country stores. Sara is accommodating and helpful.
