USS Arizona Memorial
Commemorating the December 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, this memorial straddles the sunken hull of the battleship USS Arizona. There are a number of Pearl Harbor tours available that provide transportation from your Waikiki hotel.
The USS Arizona Memorial has a new audio tour. The audio tour is approximately 3 hours long and begins by taking visitors through a one hour tour of two new world class museums. The first museum focuses on the events that led the US and Japan to war and the second museum focuses on the day of the attack.
After the National Park Services 23 minute movie visitors board a launch to be taken out to the USS Arizona Memorial. There are four audio segments to listen to at the Memorial. Upon returning back to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, the audio tour continues for another 45 minutes along the Oceanside and describes the path of attack, outdoor displays, Remembrance Circle and the story behind the USS Arizona Anchor.
The audio tour is hosted by the famous actress Jamie Lee Curtis, the National Pacific Service historians and Pearl Harbor Survivors. The headsets are $7.50 per person. For more information visit

Diamond Head Crater
The most famous volcanic crater in the world is Diamond Head. The entrance is located less than 2 miles from the Waikiki Grand Hotel. A trail leads to the top of the crater where there are a few different observation decks overlooking Waikiki and the east side of Oahu (Hawaii Kai and Koko Head Crater).
