With the liveliness of Waikiki Beach at your doorstep, you won't have to venture far to find all the activities and entertainment you could possibly want from your Hawaiian holiday. Learn to surf at the very beach where the sport was born. Take a walk to Fort de Russy Park for some tennis. And if you hear the call of golf, several renowned courses are but a short drive from the Waikiki Shore. Pick out island mementos and fun collectibles at the International Marketplace. For more serious outdoor shopping, head to the nearby Ala Moana Shopping Center. Or simply wander along the storefront-lined Kalakaua Avenue, only one block from Waikiki Shore. With all there is to do and see, you're sure to work up an appetite. Not to worry. Your central location puts you in the middle of a plethora of dining options and just about every type of cuisine you can imagine. When you're ready to venture out of Waikiki, shuttles and public transportation make it easy to access the sights. Snorkel among countless tropical fish at Hanauma Bay. Go on a nature walk or a rugged hike through the lush forests of the Koolau Mountains. Absorb the solemn history of Pearl Harbor.
