Tegueste is a charming town in the mountains but still less than an hour by bus from the ocean. Easily accessible and still at the crossroads of many hiking trails. With the famous eternal spring, so you can sunbathe many of days, but you need a sweater many of nights; perfect hiking weather! Alfredo's place is two minutes from the cute center, but still feels rural and so close to amazing nature. It's very safe and friendly and the only tourists you see are discrete hikers.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Alicias house in Tegueste which was very comfortable and well equipped. Unfirtunately the weather was poor, cold and damp, for the first week but Alfredo privided us with a much appreciated extra heater. It's proximity to the town was great, in a quiet neighbourhood and we found it to be a great location to drive out to many wonderful places in north Tenerife. It is 10 mins drive to the coast and to la Laguna. We had a car so were able to try to find the sun. The house was clean, everything was there and there was plenty of room for us two. Thank you Alicia.

Response from Alfredo:
Helen and Asbjorn, are lovely people. Our communication with them has been very good. It's been nice to you as guests. Our house will be always opened to you and thank very much for leaving the house tidy. Our goal at home is that guests find the basic needs and services, incorporating tools of our time as internet . Likewise , due to unexpected climatic conditions, we have needed to provide some heater this winter . Thank you for your understanding and again it has been a pleasure to have had them as guests.

I enjoyed a very pleasant stay in Alicia's house. The house was kitted out with everything you could possibly need. Her family even went to the trouble of showing me where all the local shops and bank were when I arrived. When I had a problem with the internet, I got an immediate response over (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) on how to fix it. I would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed living in this little cosy house in Tegueste. The House is in a good location for walking, sightseeing and get to know the urban canarian live style. It is also possible to visit the famous town and the great market, which is not far from La Laguna. there you have to taste -churros - for breakfast. The surrounding is green and a nice nature with Mountains and wonderful valleys -barranco- The -casa abuela Elizia - is a cosy house with comfort where we spended a wonderful vacation. In the kitchen there are all the things you need to cook and enjoy meals. Close to the house we bought all things we needed. If we had a problem there was always help. We will everytime remember this wonderful days in your house.

We were planning to stay in Alicia's house for 5 nights but due to family illness we had to return to the UK urgently so only stayed 2 nights. Alicia was very understanding and sympathetic to our situation. She readily agreed to make us a refund with no fuss or difficulty at all which was very kind. The house is very characterful and we were met by Alicia's brothers. They made us very welcome(the welcome included a bottle of wine and a bowlful of fruit. Everything in the house was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was fine. We found that you need to let the hot water run for some time before it came through hot. The house has a good Wi Fi signal and the TV received a very wide choice of channels. . The house has 2 outside areas and as it was early February and cool in the mornings we enjoyed the sun trap conservatory at the front of the house. Had we been there in warmer weather we would have used the barbeque and out door eating area. The location is great for exploring the natural wonders- though we only managed one day hike in the Anaga national park. Our walk book also had a walk with a start point only a few metres from the house. Hopefully we will be able to return to the area some time.

Nice house in a small village, close to bus stops with frequent connections to Santa Cruz and the north coast. Excellent acces to hiking routes in the Anaga mountains, many starting just 500m from the house. As we were there in December, the village was very quiet and we had some trouble finding restaurants for dinner, but as said, easy to get to other towns by bus and possibly livelier in the summer anyway. Alicia was very helpful and responsive.

We had a very pleasant stay in this very nice house for the Christmas period 2013. Alicia made us feel welcome and made sure all was fine before she left us on our own. Later on, she even delivered some extra toys for our children to play with. There was plenty of room for the five of us in and around the house. And the town of Tegueste is a good starting point for walking the Anaga mountains, visiting Teide or the interesting north-east coastal area. We can recommend the Casa Abuela Elisia!
